The Surprise Chunder
A collection of stories from our Monday night Insta-Live on in the first two weeks of may, which covered the themes of "Surprise!" and "Friends and Enemies". But let's be honest, they all can fit the "Surprise!" theme. First up, we have our host, Matt Young, gayly gushing about Courtney Monsma, who is the next generation of musical theatre royalty in Australia, and tells the story "meeting" Celine Dion and some time later jumping out of a plane. Second is Story Chunder favourite Charleen Marsters, whose first appearance at the live event was so salacious, I couldn't release the story on YouTube, telling us about discovering she is pregnant with her first child. Next up, comedian Shad WIcka mistakenly holds up a mug with a FILTHY word on it in the presence of Australia's Prime Minister. Finally, Doony, our early adaptor, and a hilarious stand up, explains his experience with the Nigerian prince e-mail scam. The Random Chunder
We’ve taken our weekly live event usually performed at Brisbane’s BackDock Arts and moved it online! Every week a new lot of storytellers spew forth their most entertaining stories for your delight or disapproval. Join host Matt Young (TBS’s WRECKED, original Australian cast of THE PRODUCERS) and a range of storytellers, listen to a story, and try not to “laugh, cry or smile ‘til you chunder”. Then listen to our podcast on Spotify, iTunes, Twitch or where ever you listen to podcasts. MONDAY NIGHTS on Instagram Live @thestorychunder. EPISODE NOTES: We've delved into our archives for this one, and brought you stories you have not heard from previous recorded live events, as well as our more recent InstaLive events. Our first storyteller is a Story Chunder favourite, comedian Kelly Mac, who tells about a surprise trip to Israel for her 50th birthday. Next up is actor and YouTuber Aysha Moulton, or Mixed_Coconut, who upon returning to visit her family in the Solomon Islands as a nursing student, ended up participating in a very important medical procedure. We next visit Vancouver, where we catch up with actor Sarah Carroll, and here how her fangirl-ing over a famous pop star led to a startling first meeting. Finally, our host, Matt Young, tells of the trip to Australia that altered his life, after a chance encounter with a handsome bloke named Peter.
