SOLO FOUNDER: Idea to Launch, FAST for solo founders.
What's up, everyone?  TLDR: idea to launch course I've been sharing my experience with building Sanomind since I started it. I always shied away from courses because they felt scammish to me. But I thought I had real-world experience that I wanted to put in an easily digestible format for others.  I created a course on how to go from an idea in your head to a fully functional product. There are 2 files in the course. Presentation Deck Audio Presentation In the course I go over: Ideation Validation MVP Design Building your Product Marketing I could go deeper on many of these topics, but I gave as much info as I could in summary. There is a deck and an audio version. I go deeper into the topics in the audio version. Get the course here As usual, you can now find me here on Instagram. It's mostly music, but will share other stuff : )

SOLO FOUNDER: Energy and Momentum in Life and Business
I have recently been thinking of energy and how it affects us in life and business. I usually think of random things but I never speak about them because it feels silly in my head. But I tried to get my thoughts out in this episode. I hope it's helpful for some! SOLO FOUNDER: Why You Shouldn't Quit Your Start-up, Yet
It's been 1 year and 9 months since I've released an episode. I had to take a step back as I didn't have much to say or add in value. I've also been struggling to get the Sanomind mind web app designed and developed to something we can be semi-proud of. We did that. Sanomind is finally live the way I envisioned it. We are not there yet in terms of design, colors, brand, and features, but we have a SOLID base. I wouldn't have gotten here if I quit months or years ago. You'll hear many in the start-up community telling you to start fast, quit faster. In some cases I understand this. But everyone is different and works on different timelines.  In this episode, I talk more about why you shouldn't quit just yet. Give this podcast 5 starts :D  Let's link! SOLO FOUNDER: Continue With Forward Movement
Being ambitious is great. Being overly ambitious while unrealistic is not so great. Learning how to be ambitious while being realistic is proving to be interesting. We had deadlines and launch dates. It's been a long and wild run with ups, downs, setbacks and lots of learnings. Things are happening at a weird pace, but forward movement is key. This episode was recorded about 4 weeks ago. A lot has happened since. All current happenings will be revealed in the next episode coming this week! Instagram: thesolofounder Twitter: thesolofoundr Website: Sanomind

SOLO FOUNDER: Forgiving, forgetting, and moving on. A personal story.
MY co-founder Ed and I have been thinking of something to say to show our support for our Black Brothers and Sisters. We didn't want to say something generic or copy and paste the same old corporate "solidarity" posts. To us, all that comes off fake. In thinking about what happened to George Floyd and all the other Blacks people killed by cops, we couldn't find words that would suffice. Then we thought we'd share our story to express how we are able to understand and sympathize the Black community is angry, hurt and fed up with police brutality. In this episode, we share two stories we never really talk about publicly. No reason why. It just never came up. I sat down with my co-founder Ed to tell the story. We're both Puerto Rican and have had our share of run-ins with the cops. We've never committed a crime, but we looked a certain way. SOLO FOUNDER: Real Founders, Real Stories Introduction
For the last 4 weeks, I've been in an accelerator that brought 100 smart people together to ultimately partner up and become co-founders. It's a very interesting model. One I've had in mind for some time now. I've struggled with finding the right co-founder. I longed for the day someone would have the balls to create an accelerator that introduces potential co-founders. That time finally came. It's called Antler. https://www.antler.co/  Antler identifies and invests in exceptional people. They are a  global startup generator and early-stage VC firm that builds groundbreaking technology companies. They believe that it is important to have exceptional people, regardless of their background and geography, work on addressing large global opportunities and challenges. They help solo founders find the right co-founder among 80-100 other carefully selected people who’ve made it through the application process to start building your company.  I haven't found a co-founder yet, mainly because I am solely focused on mental health. If I was problem agnostic, I'd probably have a better chance of finding someone quicker. But, as you know, I'm trying to solve the access/cost problem in mental health.  There are tons of smart and interesting people in the cohort and I will be bringing some on the podcast. SOLO FOUNDER: Should You Pay For Freelance Developers?
Should you find a cofounder or pay for a freelancer(s)? Is it bad to have too many hands in your code? How about finding an intern or two? You can always hire and pay a full-time engineer, but who really has 80,000 to 125,000 lying around to pay a salary? This is what I’m going to try next.

SOLO FOUNDER: Finding The Right Cofounder. Myth?
Welcome back! I’m back at it! This is a great episode to come back with. Exciting turning point in the podcast and my solo founder journey. The conversation flows naturally. It’s silly, funny and serious, but most of all raw and uncut! No edits. As always. Hit me up @theSoloFounder 👊🏼 And my cofounder @metroCoder

SOLO FOUNDER: Solve Problems? or Create & Innovate?
“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” -Henry Ford The past few months have been interesting. Obviously still working on sanoMind, but doing a lot of soul searching. As I watch the mental health space I'm trying to figure out where it's going. I still stand by what I'm working on here at sanoMind. Everyone has a brain therefore everyone can benefit from mental health education and knowledge. The information is out there, but it's very scattered and not really easily digestible. I'm constantly reading through all the mental health groups I'm in and I see two things in all of them.  People are looking for help and companionship.  In this podcast I ramble about my soul searching and where mental health is going as a whole. Where do therapists fit in in this every changing world? How do I stay sane while still working on my mental health daily and trying to build something from nothing when the majority of people couldn't care less about sanoMind? I also touch upon people giving founders ideas and feedback and how most people don't truly know what they want in a product. You have to see what they don't see and build something amazing that they will learn to love. Who knows, I'm just learning and figuring it out one day at a time. And some more rambling. I recorded this 5 days ago and forgot what else I spoke about, haha!  If you haven't already, please check out the sanoMind app in the app store and let me know what you think. SOLO FOUNDER: Mistakes To Avoid After Launching A Product
Looking back at the first 12 months since launching sanoMIND, I can clearly see all the silly mistakes I made. Some were made because I was stubborn and others I chalk up to being a first-time product founder.  The mistakes are easily fixable. I'll never get that time back. It's gone forever. But what I can do is make sure the next 12 months are way better than the first.  Connect with me here; https://twitter.com/thesolofoundr https://www.instagram.com/thesolofounder/ https://medium.com/@thesolofounder

SOLO FOUNDER: Y Combinator Start-up School, Growth Hacking & Mindfulness
It's been a while since I recorded an episode, but I'm back! There hasn't been much going on so I had nothing to talk about. We did, however, get into Ycombinator startup school! It's not the accelerator, but it's just as good! Just no funding... yet. I've been working on living a life of mindfulness and its a game changer. Also, growth hacks, what's the secret? There is no growth hack. In this episode I talk about what it takes to grow! The book ”Mindfulness” is written by Bhante Gunaratana Instagram: thesolofounder Twitter: thesolofoundr Website: Sanomind
