The Social Media Marketing Ninja Podcast - Episode 101: How To Get On Someone’s Radar?
Episode 101: How To Get On Someone’s Radar? First ask yourself why this is important. Recognition in your industry is a key to success. It builds your authority. But it is important to choose the right people to seek out. Look for authorities in your business. Always aim high. Think of it as when you are picking a tennis partner. So once you know who you want to approach, how do you do it? 1. Social media is perfect. You are already a Ninja. Start engaging with them by commenting, sharing, liking, retweeting, etc. You know this. But start doing it with a purpose. 2. Be smart. Show that you read what they put out. Show that you are someone they should be interested in engaging with. 3. Send email giving them recognition and feedback. Book authors are particularly interested in hearing from fans. 4. Share their content. This is a good reason to continually build your online audience. You have somewhere to spread their content. 5. Be consistent. What if you did 5 valuable contacts a day, think of where that would lead over time? 6. Be patient. Don’t expect one message to put you in their good graces. But over time you will start to get on their radar. 7. Come from different platforms. Use various social media platforms so you start showing up all over the place. That works. The absolute best way to get someone’s attention? Create a video testimonial and start sending it around. That is the most powerful way to show that you are a real person, that you have something to say. And that you have been listening. www.socialmediamarketingninja.com

The Social Media Marketing Ninja Podcast - Episode 87: What is Split Testing and Why Is It Important?
Episode 87: What is Split Testing and Why Is It Important? You may already know what split testing is. And why is it important. This is the only way you can learn from your program and continually make improvement: increase your ROI for the money spent. But here are the basics of split testing: 1. You want to be able to measure two different presentations to an audience to see what works the best. Simplest example is two subject lines in an email campaign. 2. You can measure almost anything in advertising: a. Copy b. Length c. Images d. Video e. Call to action f. Subject lines g. Format h. Graphics i. Colors j. Branding 3. Only test things that will give you information you can use – never just test for testing’s sake 4. Have a long term strategy – what do you want to learn? 5. Break things down so you can get usable metrics – Facebook ads – one ad per Ad Group 6. Never stop testing – always try to beat what you have 7. Use a good platform that is set up for testing 8. Use your imagination – get creative This is the fun part of marketing. And doing it online is incredible compared to off-line. Very fast results – what is the life of an email? Of a FB Ad? Of a Tweet? Be organized in your reporting – Excel works fine – set up a testing template and use it. www.socialmediamarketingninja.com

The Social Media Marketing Ninja Podcast - Episode 85: How Much Should You Spend On Getting a Pixel Placed?
Episode 85: How Much Should You Spend On Getting a Pixel Placed? Pixel based advertising is the future. Social media is turning into an advertising powerhouse – like Google AdWords You already know that retargeting pixels are important to get out there And you should be prepared to invest to make it happen But how much should you spend? Work backwards – how much is a customer worth to you over the long term? You have to know this. Let’s say if a customer will end up spending $100 in the next 3 months with you – on average – and you net $25 of that spending. You can spend $24 for each customer and make money, right. But you want to do better than that. You have to keep track of how much it costs to get each pixel out there – how much you have to spend on ads. Split testing is the key to success – to drive down that cost per pixel placed (CPP) It is a numbers game. But you probably excel at that already. And your approach to advertising is that you want to do it right so you get to spend even more. Don’t approach it with the idea of spending the least.www.socialmediamarketingninja.com
