Death Cab For Cutie — You Can Play These Songs With Chords (Epilogue)
We go back to the early days and quickly talk through Death Cab's collection of early demos: You Can Play These Songs With Chords, then we do our general thoughts and feelings on the band as a whole and wrap up with our ranking of their studio records and our personal top 10 songs. Also this one is so long that there are four music breaks, apologies! We had some weird technical difficulties to deal with, hence the wait on this, apologies for that as well! ^_^

Death Cab For Cutie — Transatlanticism
when i was searching for a high res scan of the cover art for this so that i could make it stupid for the episode art, i found a picture of a guy that got all the lyrics to the title track tattooed down his ribs in a book format, if you're wondering how much this particular record means to peoplealso tons of bird+string tattoosalso the example i was thinking of regarding bands appearing on TV shows was all the bands that play at the Roadhouse in Twin Peaks The Return, including "The" Nine Inch Nails.anywaycarry on

Death Cab For Cutie — Something About Airplanes
We begin with our first series, on Death Cab For Cutie, a band that Adam has zero familiarity with! This should be interesting.Every podcast is cursed to begin with audio quality problems, and this is no different. We used Zencastr and everything came out slightly distorted and hissy. I fixed it in post as well as I could, but it's still there. Just pretend we're keeping with Something About Airplanes' lo-fi aesthetic. Anyway, we fixed this in the next episode and everything is back to normal. Also this was an early rough draft of the theme song, which will (theoretically) change with each new series to match the style of the band we're covering. After this episode, I used the final version of this iteration of the theme song. This one does kind of fit the record though, so I'm not too upset.— Andrew
