Modern Frugalista, personal shopper and overall lovely Daniele Ange graces our audio today with her life testimony. This week’s audio is short yet sweet and Daniele does not hold back in telling us about finding her path to fashion and the results of listening to her inner voice. 

Born in Malawi but raised in Canada, Veronica Nnensa has always had an appreciation of her heritage. During university, she studied public policy and international development, with a focus on Africa. After connecting with co-founder, Freeda Mulenga, shortly after moving to Toronto, Kuwala was born out of their desire to promote a African fashion industry that is ethical, yet stylish. 

Michaella Munyuzangabo is an MBA candidate at the New York University Stern School of Business. She will graduate in 2016 and then take over the world! Birthed from an empowering and impressive family, she upholds her family tradition of excellence through her dedication, hard work and her introspection. Michaella works equally hard to build her professional portfolio as well as her inner-self while staying true to herself. Michaella shares with us her impressive journey as well as her untiring determination. 

Rita Houkayem is Miss Emigrant Lebanon 2013 and co-reinstated the Miss Emigrant pageant in Toronto alongside the World Lebanese Cultural Union. In 2013, Rita traveled the world and used the power of her title to effect change everywhere she went. Rita is very active in the Lebanese community in Canada and plans on pursuing her Masters in Global Affairs to effect more change worldwide. Rita shares with us her journey as well as her unwavering positivism.  

Yolen Bollo-Kamara, University of Toronto Student's Union president gives us some insight on how to approach academic politics as well as how to overcome obstacles and keep pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zone.
