Ep: 34 | Jealous Me
I think there are many learning opportunities that come from negative emotions. Of course, they aren't the greatest feelings to experience, but when properly assessed, they can help you develop emotional intelligence. In this episode, I deconstruct times when I've felt jealous and use excerpts from Brianna Weist's book, "The Mountain is You" to discuss why these unfavorable emotions can actually tell us a lot about ourselves.

Ep.33 | Balancing Energies
Balance has become an important core value in my life -- especially as I've gotten older. Being able to notice what's off in your energy and doing what you need in order to restore that balance requires being in tune with yourself.  In this episode, I'm sharing the methods I use to identify when I'm out of balance, what caused it and how I manage to balance my energy time and time again.

Ep. 32 | Don't Think, Just Do
Have you ever felt stuck on an idea or project because you're trying to finalize every detail? Well, then you're probably like me. I have the habit of sitting too long in my idea phase that it often prevents me from simply doing. Case & point is publishing this episode (how ironic lol). In this episode, I discuss why I've needed to let go of making everything "perfect" or having all my ducks lined in order before I action anything. Sitting on an idea for too long can weaken the drive and energy it once had. Sometimes it's just better if you show up, do the work, and reiterate the process. Ep. 31 | Insecure Recap
One of my fav shows (and that says A LOT because I barely have fav shows) has come to a bittersweet end... yes, I am talking about Insecure.  The last episode was jam packed but it still gave what it was supposed to give. Molly went onto be happily married, #TeamLawrence ftw because Issa & Lawrence ended up in a beautifully blended fam - basically everyone went on to continue a happy life. But it wasn't always like this, within the past 5 seasons the entire crew had their fairshare of twists and turns but to see everyone come out on top just means it was all worth it. You already know I picked a part pieces of the show that spoke to me and I break it down in this episode. Let me know if you felt the same!

Ep. 28 | Plant Mom
As of late, I've gotten into a new hobby that involves collecting, growing, and nurturing plants...yup, a "plant mom". But also, I've taken the leap and decided to grow my own veggies this year and the entire process I've been able to relate to life's journey. I think there's something fascinating about planting a seed, watering it, giving it time to grow until eventually, it becomes food to eat.  Listen to the episode and let me know your thoughts! Ep. 27 | Melanin is Our Superpower w/ Kobe
As of last year, I started using Twitter more often and discovered just how opinionated people are. Among that sea of opinions, I landed on a couple Twitter users whose tweets caused me to question things, seek more knowledge and most importantly, how important it is to ground myself. In this episode, I'm joined by Kobe, host of The Wolf Chronicles, and business owner (WVLF CC- Natural Care Products) for a discussion on ... everything. We get into the state of the world, c*vid, astrology, veganism, nutrition, melanin and so much more. Quick disclaimer: This episode isn't for the close-minded. So be prepared to open yourself up to a dialogue that may contradict what you believe is true. To keep up with Kobe, you can connect with him across instagram @wvlfkobe@morenokobe@fitwolfkobe@wvlfcc -  Let me know your thoughts on this episode! @thesheresenicolepodcast

Ep. 25 | Mother Wound Healing w/ Alyson Brown
Recently I had an epiphany where I realized that a large part of "adulting" requires unlearning. Unlearning everything you've been taught in school, unlearning societal norms, and mostly just unlearning ways that don't serve you. So naturally, I've changed my perspective on a range of topics/themes as well.  One of the key things I've learned recently is that I am solely responsible for unlearning and relearning (or take accountability for) my actions and my growth in my adulthood and beyond.  In this episode, I'm joined by Alyson, host of Shades of Brown podcast and the creator and facilitator of Healing From A Mother Wound. We discuss how important it is to learn from and heal our inner child, what mother wound healing is, and how the healing journey isn't pretty but is worth it in the end. To stay connected with Alyson, follow her on Instagram @everythingalyb and tune into her podcast over at @shadesofbrownpocast.

Ep. 24 | Talk That Talk w/ Dolapo
I don't think people realize that the act of conversing is an acquired skill. Yes, you may be able to take thoughts/ideas in your mind and verbalize it, but that doesn't mean you know how to start, engage and properly have a conversation lol. In this episode, I'm joined by Dolapo, co-host of The Quarter Life Crisis Podcast, long-time friend, and self-proclaimed conversationalist in a discussion about...conversation. We learn how he went from being shy to a great conversationalist, how men should approach and talk to women, and share a few high school stories. Check out the Quarter Life Crisis podcast while you're at it to see my feature on his podcast, here xD (it's cringe lol) Let me know what you think and don't forget to subscribe to my podcast to stay up to date with new eps! Ep. 23 | I'm Nervous, But Imma Do It Anyway
"I'm nervous, but imma do it anyway" is my life in a nutshell lol. There is always something new or different or challenging that I experience that brings out this unsettled feeling within me. I think that's life though, a never-ending cycle of ebbs and flows. I learned early on that I needed to face whatever fear or nervousness I was experiencing head-on in order to overcome it.  In this episode, I discuss how I overcome nervousness by dismantling it at its core and why it's important to continuously do what you are afraid of.  Don't forget to subscribe to my podcast to stay up to date with new eps! Ep. 22 | Words Cast Spells
First of foremost, happy new year y'all. I'm back in my observant bag and sharing with you how I no longer want to identify or take on negative e-motions.  An emotion by definition is, a conscious mental reaction (e.g., anger or fear) subjectively experienced as a strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body. Nowhere in that definition does it state that emotions define or identify people, so why do I do that to myself? In this episode, I breakdown why it's important to carefully choose the words you use to speak to yourself and others, how inner talk can create your reality (whether you believe it or not), and why emotion should not be used as a way to define yourself because they are merely experiences that pass. Ep. 20 | Fearlessly Pursue Your Passions w/ Kevin Kerto
Is there ever truly a day that goes by where you don't experience fear?  There are two kinds of fear: normal fear and abnormal fear. Normal fear is the innate instincts given to you by nature as a means of self-preservation. Abnormal fear can fall into categories such as paranoia, anxiety, phobias. Basically, they are acquired from experiences, places, or people.  If an abnormal fear can be acquired or learned that also means that it can be unlearned. I work towards unlearning what triggers my fears by doing what I am fearful of. It's a practice that doesn't come easy, but can overtime clear the space I need in order to live fearlessly.  In this episode, I'm joined by Kevin Kerto, who is many things but can be defined as being a spiritual teacher, artist, and performance trainer. We get into many topics ranging from pursuing your passion, tackling fear, spiritual alignment, and the epiphany he experienced that directed him towards his passion. Ep. 19 | Be Intentional w/ Chef Beanz
For the majority of my life, I have been existing without real concrete intention behind why I do the things that I do. I share this story in this episode, but one day I was at Walmart and landed upon a book called, "The Power of Deliberate Intent". It was the spark I needed to propel me into more intentional thinking.  The concept of intentionality kept reappearing around me and over time I've come to understand just why it's so important to implement direction and purpose into my lifestyle. When you know your why and have a clear purpose, you can achieve more goals and manifest what you truly desire.  In this episode, I'm joined by Quain who is better known as Chef Beanz to discuss how to be more intentional in your life. Learn about where the idea for his "Be Intentional" brand and concept came from and how he navigates his life being as intentional as possible.
