In this episode, Deborah Owens joins us to discuss the Black Lives Matter and anti-racism movement through a tantric lens. We delve into how power, dominance, and fear show up in our bodies. And we discuss this through the lens of the principles of tantra from Kali Rising by Swami Ravi. This is a powerful, powerful episode and Deborah brings her full self to the table - as always. Deborah is a student of Tantra and has studied with Swami Ravi Rudra Bharati for many years. Her practice and study have an emphasis on the masculine principle and feminine energy. Chakras & Tantra: Finding Power in Surrender & Dominance in the 3rd Chakra w/ Alex Jade
“Some people would think the submissive person wouldn’t have any power. And I’m like, wait a minute! Witness what happens when they give up control or explore their body from the inside out after someone has given them some guidelines to feel their sensual, their sensate body. That’s power!” In this episode, Alex Jade guides us on a journey of power in the third chakra. A journey that looks at the power of surrender and submission - flipping the tables on how many of us are taught to think of power as residing in dominance. Alex has been professionally exploring the sensate, energetic, erotic, and intelligence of our bodies for the past thirty years. Alex has mastery of experiential erotic education and the use of ritual as a healing tool. Alex is also a teacher and friend whose knowledge of the body and its senses has immensely shaped my own study and work. For more information about Alex and how to work with them, please visit https://bodytrustcircle.com/. You can also listen to Alex’s podcast, The Pleasure Lab on any major streaming service. Chakras & Tantra: The Nadis - Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna w/ Arabella Champaq
The nadis are channels that carry energy through our bodies. There are thousands, but we tend to focus on three: ida, pingala, and sushumna. Ida and pingala travel from the root chakra to the third eye, crisscrossing paths along the way. Sushumna is the central channel that travels up the middle. Where the three meet, you will find a chakra. I am beyond delighted to have Arabella Champaq back on the podcast to talk about the nadis and how they have helped support her and her practice. The nadis are an important part of our subtle energy body, but not talked about nearly as much as the chakra system. Arabella discusses what they do, how you can recognize which is activated, and some practical steps to take into your daily practice. Arabella Champaq was initiated by Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, a Sufi Master of the Chishti Order, in 1976. She studied with him for 25 years. Eventually, she began searching for a more integrated path, one that included all parts of her being. She longed for a spiritual path that addressed the disconnect between spirit and body, between God and Pleasure, between what we believe and how we live. She began an exploration of sacred sexuality, which led her to tantra. In tantra, she has discovered the perfect marriage of the sacred and the profane, of the inner and outer worlds, of the fact that she has both an innate desire for the transcendent state and experiences extended orgasms. She studies with Swami Ravi Rudra Bharati (a.k.a. Rudy Ballentine), a student of Swami Rama. She has taught meditation, led retreats, classes, and workshops since 1985. If you would like to find out more about Arabella, her work, and how you might be able to study with her, please visit https://tantragateway.weebly.com/. ***** For more information about Adam Bee, sacred intimacy, and Tantra, please visit https://adambee.com

Chakras & Tantra: Where do I belong? Who am I? (1st & 3rd chakras)
In this new series, we are looking at the chakras through a tantric lens. There are hundreds of books on chakras out there, but my goal in creating this series was to bring them back into the body and our lived experience. My goal was see these magical and mysterious centers of energy as they are expressed in our bodies. In this episode, Mark Fleming comes back to the podcast to talk about our root chakra, where we belong, and how the over- or under-expression of that chakra can impact us in significant ways. We also discuss its connection to the third chakra in the belly and how all of the chakras are associated with organs of action and organs of perception. Mark Fleming has studied with Swami Ravi Rudra Bharati for over 20 years. His expertise on the chakras and how they express in the body cannot be overstated. Mark has been one of my primary teachers for the last two years and it an honor and a joy to be able to bring his wisdom back to this podcast. Thank you, Mark.
