Can’t Buy Me Love is a 1987 teen romantic comedy directed by Steve Rash. This is the story of Ronald Miller - Ronnie, played by Patrick Dempsey. Ronald is your classic 80’s high school nerd living in suburban Arizona, he is known as the dorky kid who mows lawns… that’s his shtick.  Our boy Ronnie yearns to be with the popular crowd, specifically he likes his next door neighbour Cindy Mancini, high school cheer captain and all around popular high school socialite, played by Amanda Peterson…  After Cindy spills wine on her moms expensive suede outfit. The Switch is a 2010 romantic comedy by Will Speck and Josh Gordon based on the short The Baster. The Switch is the story of Kassie Larson played by Jennifer Anniston. She is the eternal optimist, her life is going PRETTY well, BUT, there is one thing missing, motherhood, she wants SO BADLY to have a baby, however Mr. Right has yet to come along. We also have Wally Mars played by Jason Bateman. He is Kassie’s best friends, heads up, they also dated about 6 years ago. Wally is fairly pessimistic, kinda neurotic, he has some hard edges as they describe later in the movie. Kassie decides, to speed her life in the direction she wants it to go she needs a sperm donor. However she wants to be able to meet this sperm donor man face to face and she doesn’t want to go through a sperm bank due to the heavy cost. The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 comedy drama directed by David Frankel based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger. This is the story of Andy played by Anne Hathaway. She is a freshly graduated journalist who stumbles upon a junior personal assistant job under Miranda Priestly played by Meryl Streep. Miranda Priestly is the Editor in Chief of Runway Magazine and that gig Andy stumbled upon is "a job that millions of girls would kill for…" Andy is kinda… meh… about it…  But Miranda Priestly is not one to be trifled with and Andy finds herself in an extremely challenging situation trying to impress her new boss as well as her co-workers Emily played by Emily Blunt and Nigel played by Stanley Tucci all while juggling her relationship with Nate played by Adrian Grenier and a suave New York Times freelancer Christian Thompson played by Simon Baker. This week Sarah and Devin rewatch the 2009 romantic comedy I Love You Beth Cooper. Denis Cooverman, played by Paul Rust is his school’s valedictorian. Denis is fairly nerdy, hasn’t had a whole lot of FUN throughout his highschool experience and doesn't have many stories to share. But during his Valedictorian speech Denis takes the opportunity to say what he has ALWAYS wanted to say… I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER…  Along with pissing off many key students and people at this school, Denis confesses his love to Beth Cooper, played by Hayden Panettiere.
