123: The Reset Rebel meets fasting, Intermittent living and energy coach Siebe Hannosset
Is this extreme heat the last week sapping your energy? Need more vitality, strength and ability to focus?    You are not alone!  In fact, I have been hitting the coffee big time  - even more than usual!! - but there are so many other ways to Reset and get back on the right path. Here with some stern talk on what is needed is Siebe Hannosset who guides people on their path to better health and a more optimised way of being.  Siebe has a background as a movement scientist and worked as a performance coach at Club Brugge, since contracting limes disease.  He was forced to create his own personal blueprint to cultivate better mental and physical health and that has carved out his own way of sharing that. He incorporates clinical psycho-neuro-immunology (cPNI) and has carved out his own Intermittent Living concept.   The results of integrating these principles with himself had a profound impact and today he has a mission  to translate the latest scientific insights about Intermittent Living into practice through intermittent fasting, cold therapy,  deep breathing, sleep and other brain hacks.  For Septembers RESET RETREAT 9-12 September we have three places left to join us for the weekend in paradise, hiking, practising flow music infused yoga on our campo deck on the north of the island and attenting a rooftop dance music meditation on the roof on Nobu.

122: The Reset Rebels meets Ambient musician and artist Coco Francavilla from The Posidonia Project.
Between Ibiza and Formentera lies the worlds oldest and largest living organism. At over 100,000 years old, it stretches for more then 8km and provides shelter for species to hide and stay protected, it also purifies the waters of the Balearic Sea and that of the Meditteranean and acts as a huge Carbon sink, offsetting the extreme influx of tourists in Summertime. It is of course the Posidonia. One lady on the island is so passionate about preserving it, she is making an ambient album using the seagrass meadows as her muse. For todays episode of the show, we were invited to Ibiza Bloom Studio to meet Coco Francavilla  -  an Italian film-composer ambient artist and music producer based in close to San Miguel.   She combines the use of analog / modular synthesizers and sound manipulation mixing electronica with classical music, with an evocative and oneiric approach and has invited a range of her fellow ambient musicians to join her on the record.  In todays episode we also launch our Next Retreat on the island find all the details here:   RESET REBEL RETREAT 9-12 SEPT 2022.   www.theresetrebel.com.

121: BONUS EPISODE : The Reset rebel celebrates Gay Pride Ibiza
This week Gay Pride is back on Ibiza after being moved last year due to ¨the circumstances¨. Ibiza Town is streaming with rainbow flags and the streets are full of celebrations of the annual event, which was hugely missed in 2021.  It runs all week this week until the 18th June, more info here https://www.ibizagaypride.eu/ To celebrate, we chatted to Iris Van Der Graaf, a guest we met recently at our studio space -  The Hub ibiza.    Iris caught Jo´s attention as she was giving a speech at a Womens Entrepreneurs Brunch and Jo was fascinated by her story of transformation  after being born a boy and working as an engineer in a mans world. Iris has just taken on a very exciting new job in Holland where she was born, transforming the train network into an electric one  ( a huge undertaking) and tells her story of going through dramatic changes in life and love and what its been like living on the island the last 6 months in wintertime and right after lockdown. Iris is a member of the board for Gay Pride in Rotterdam which throws a HUGE party this weekend in the city.  Wishing you all a gorgeous pride week ahead.... wherever you may BE celebrating. www.theresetrebel.com

As we zipped into EVISSA garden centre she was centre stage singing, Miracle right when we needed it most. So to hear she is putting on a new night at Teatro next week (9 June) incorporating her rich history as an Electronic vocalist and club performer and fusing her classical roots of acoustic music and working with a band felt like a good time for a chat. 119: The Reset Rebel meets My Ibiza and Formentera Author Hjordis Fogelberg
Lately a lot of doubt has been cast over whether Formentera´s Beach shacks will re-open.   For some that is not a big deal, but for those that grew up with Kiosko 62, Lucky Bar and so many other relaxed, feet in the sand establishments as part of their heritage, that is quite sad.    A few weeks back I went myself to Playa Mijorn and saw for myself the half built shacks and at Lucky, there was nothing at all. So what is going on? I caught up with My Ibiza and Formentera guide book author Hjordis Fogelberg, who grew up on ibiza, to get the lowdown and hear more about the "secret spots" of the island for 2022. www.theresetrebel.com.

114: Reset Rebel hears the story of the Wildfires of Ibiza for Earth Day
In 2010 a fire swept through Benirras, forcing more than 1500 people to be rescued by land and sea from the beach on a hot August Sunday when the drumming was underway. Cars blew up, scorching flames could be seen 30 feet in the air and people fled in terror, some losing everything they posessed in the blaze. Yoga Teacher Anna McColl was one of those people and tells us her story in todays episode of the time when she had literally just arrived from England with all her worldly goods.  She left the island but came back after the shock of the baptism of fire wore off and still lives and teaches here. Less then One year after the islands largest fire began,  another blaze started which was even larger. The San Juan wildfire ignited when a beekeeper created a spark with his tools and the next thing, more than 1000 people were forced to flee the area, which raged all the way down to Cala San Vincente. We also hear from Toby Clarke from Walking Ibiza who bore witness to the flames and tells us how she Beekeeper´s arrest caused a mass protest accross the island, plus Peter Lehner of Blacknose Wines, reveals how he arrived from his Swiss home to find embers still smoking by his front door and parts of his land completely destroyed. But how disastrous is Fire for nature and can it be prevented? We end our podcast with a chat to fire fighting hero Oriol Carre from IBANAT   - The Institut Balear De la Natura in Mallorca who piloted a plane to play his part in putting out the fire on ibiza 11 years ago and we finish with a conversation with Ana Digon -  Preseident of the Regenerative Agriculture Association of Spain on how live stock can clear the forrest and keep wildfire  at bay, as well as enhance the quality of the soil as they graze. www.theresetrebel.com To donate to our new Ibiza Regenerative Agriculture Podcast find our crowdfunding page here :    https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ibizaregenerationpodcast

113: The Reset Rebel meets Ex Pro Belgian Basketball player Pieter Loridon
REBOUND is the theme of todays episode, as we catch up with Ex-pro Belgian Basketball player Pieter Loridon. The Antwerp star, who now lives some of the year in Ibiza,  has not been written about favourably in the press of late after infecting himself with Covid deliberately to get a recovery certificate to travel in January. But as he talks about the incident for the first time on the Reset Rebel, he tells Jo he does not care what is written about him and that his detachment from the media as well as much of the negativity he has encountered through his life, has  brought him to realise, that Nothing Beats Love.  Nothing. He has had to learn to rebound  both on and off the court and fought hard to gain his place in the Belgian national team after being told at 16 he was too fat to compete. He worked hard to reach his goals professionally as a pro baller and believes resilience comes from having nothing but good intentions and moving away from negative energies that he feels the media and recent times have created. His hard working ethic comes from his father, also a Basket Ball pro and he explains how it felt growing up as the son of a famous player, already in the spotlight and how working double as hard shaped his framework for life, in what he calls a very privileged up bringing. Pieter is also into intermittent fasting as his father suffered Alzheimers dementia and sadly passed away from it three years ago . His Tea company Cafe Couture was born from that exploration and he now works alongside his son sharing his Match moments worldwide. Drop into todays show for some honest talk, basketball nerdiness and insights into how to rebound.   www.theresetrebel.com Follow us on instagram :  @theresetrebel. &  @Pieterloridon

In today's show we meet athlete Lisa Shaw, a woman who used to live in ibiza. She grew up here and says the island saved her life. In fact, swimming in the Balearic Sea is what really saved her and as her anxiety grew,  she began to swim long distances.  Being in the sea, away from land just with the rhythm of her breath as  meditation, she began to find her way back and is now planning to swim around all five Balearic islands, starting this summer in Formentera. Lisa found out in later life, she had PTSD from the trauma she suffered as a child and now wishes to raise awareness to help other children, so they won't go through the same issues she faced. 111: The Reset Rebel meets gut health & Ferment expert Bex Hronek
You may have have seen the posters replacing the face of F*** Me I'm Famous star, David Guetta in Ibiza lately.....mingling amongst the 2022 club promo on the walls around town. Fermented duo Bex and her husband Jacob have papered his face all over the island, with their F*** Me I'm fermented campaign, in a tongue in cheek poke of fun at the return of the super clubs this summer. Bex is not a clubber, but has spent time performing in her signature white costume that images can be projected on at events on Ibiza and which got birthed when they lived in Amsterdam, right before coming to make the island their home. 260 days of rain per year played a big part in that move, but so did, wishing to live a more outdoors life and have her hands in the soil and so  their ferment baby was born in the name of our much loved island fizzyness  - Los Fermentistas.  Catch Bex and her full story on todays episode. 107: IMS Ibiza Special : George Clinton, Pete Tong and Manu Gonzales
For the past 2 years, there has been one event missing from the Ibiza calendar. The International Music summit was out of action since 2019 but will be making a return this spring a month earlier than usual. Many are taking this as a sign the season will be longer and more busy then ever before.  To mark the occasion in todays episode, we go back in time to 2014, when I attended the legends awards dinner with Simon Le Bon, Nile rogers and George Clinton, the godfather of funk and hear how he Reset his path in life at the grand old age of 69 to give up smoking crack and make new music.  Plus we hear from Pete Tong, co founder of the summit on receiving an MBE and why they set the event up as an alternative to the hall of fame for EDM.  For the first time the IMS will have a ‘no-panel’ policy and instead hold a series of keynotes, lectures, conversations, workshops, and sessions with industry leaders, with wellness playing a key part in proceedings and the narrative this year at Destino, so we finish with Ibiza born DJ Manu Gonzales on how he stays healthy living his life on tour and in night clubs and keeps things on track so he can stay on top of his game, as an artist.   https://www.internationalmusicsummit.com/attend

106: The Reset Rebel meets Ibiza wine maker Peter Lehner of BlackNose wine to talk Biodynamic farming
Ibiza is not famous for its wine.  But it does have quite a few creators, including Blacknose in  the hills of San Juan. Peter Lehner and his brother Tino started to make wine when they got the land right after the 2011 fire locally that became a catalyst to start their very own vinyard. Since 2021 the pair have focussed on biodynamic  practices, making their signature red, the Blacknose Vino de la Tierra Ibiza. They are currently regenerating the land and also making some local artisanal wine with grapes from Santa Agnes also, which Jo went to taste along with their award winning Blacknose 2018 vintage. This week we meet mindset coach Elizabeth Walker on the sands of Santa Eulalia to talk about how she left her life,  living in Cyprus with her two children and took a leap into the unknown to move to ibiza. Elizabeth began life on the island as a body worker and massage therapist, but as she learned more about peoples physical pain, fascial connections and blockages through her hands, her curiosity as to where the emotional and mental barriers began, grew.  She now runs her own business and creates space for others to locate those issues and help them unravel their trauma and work through the barriers that are holding them back from living their best lives. 104: The Reset Rebel meets Anxiety Coach and Hypnotherapist Helen Dickinson
This week we meet a lady from the town the British sitcom,  Last of the Sumer Wine was created in, Holmfirth. Helen Dickenson, is an anxiety Coach and also works with Hypnosis to treat patients against their fears. This weekend she has a workshop, called Tread on The Dread, which attracted me to have a chat to her, ahead of an acting workshop I had signed up to to create next week's podcast on Lab 101. Lately it takes a little extra focus and attention, not to get dragged into the world of doom, so keeping the vibes high is becoming an art form and to maintain a place for the mind to stay at peace. I loved this conversation with Helen who is bubbly and lots of fun.    She is also a DJ, and only started at aged 40 something. In todays show, we discuss starting your dreams later on in life, as well as how i should approach, what i essentially my worst nightmare, to Tread the boards or just be on stage and in front of others but i felt, if through the courses i teach, i am always persuading others to reveal themselves and put themselves out there, maybe i need to do the same....  Pop to www.resetrebelproductions.com for info on Podcast Course details In ibiza at The Hub, where this podcast was recorded, in their new studios.
