Stop acting so hurt when employees leave.
A friend resigned from her job after almost 25 years of service. That is about half of her life. She gave everything. When she went to resign she thought the CEO would be angry. Instead, he invited her team and peers for a goodbye lunch and did a company wide personal thank you for her service. That is real class. When someone resigns from your team. Wish them the best. Say nice things about them. They worked hard for you. Kindness goes a long way.

Quite quitting? Maybe it's time to quit

How confident are you feeling?
I spoke with someone who had been REJECTED from some job interviews they really wanted. I know that feeling of failing and being rejected really sucks. No one likes it, right? Well, THAT FEELING, use it as motivation. The experience of losing is good for you, especially if you're self reflective and find the learnings. If we can be a little bit better than we were yesterday, that's success! Keep going.

Don't focus on the "perfect candidate", they aren't out there.
I've learnt over my years in exec recruiting that if you want to hire the best people, don't focus on the "perfect candidate", they aren't out there. If you find someone with outstanding potential and a great attitude...hire them, invest in them, be kind to them, treat them like your most important asset. You're not hiring a CV, you're hiring a human.
