Abbie has recently joined the Investment team at SSG. With over 15 years in recruitment,  Abbie's role in the team is to help recruiters realise their dreams when it comes to running their own recruitment business. With a passion for the recruitment industry Abbie understands the drive and motivation it takes to achieve personal goals and ambitions. We spoke about how she ended up working for SSG with a little surprise for her towards the end!

Based in Brighton, this independent recruitment business works exclusively within the Live Event, Experiential & Integrated Communications sector. Its their 3 year anniversary so we spoke the build up to launching, how the business has developed, some real challenges he has faced and some parting advice to any budding recruitment entrepreneurs who are thinking about setting up on their own.

Emma Archer runs a successful lifestyle recruitment business from home in Bristol. We talked about the journey leading up to her launching a niche focused business within the FMCG sector, some real-life challenges and curve balls life throws at us, the importance of having the right support around you when the going gets tough but also how much of a positive impact it has had on her life since making the decision to work for herself. 

In this episode, I'm joined by Chris Parkes, Managing Director of Site Retail Group.  Site Retail Group recruits within the Retail, Business Support and Construction & Maintenance Sectors. With locations in Kent and Essex, they have the knowledge and capability to deliver an excellent recruitment service. Chris tells us what working for himself really means to him and how his business exceeded £1m turnover in the first 8 months of trading and all about his ambitions to grow and exceed £10m.
