L. Marie was born in New Jersey but relocated to Prince George County, MD at the age of twelve with her Mother and her one sister. She was raised Catholic and attended Catholic High School until a Spiritual wake up call from Father/Bishop Stallings, who broke off from the Catholic church with some real down home Bible teaching. This is where L. Marie realized what the story of Job is all about in our lives and came to embrace the word of God. Completing a business degree from National Louis University, she started college at Bowie State College, where she was a Journalism/Broadcast Communications major. She is currently studying the Old and New Testament with Northwestern Theological Seminary, pursuing a degree in Christian Counseling. She is the proud single mother of a 17 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. .She has written several small articles and many poems but Only God Can Send a Rainbow: Lessons in Love is her first book. One of her poems was first published in 2011.
