John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur On Fire on Speed Editing and Building Community
John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur on Fire takes the first half of the show describing his technique for speeding up his audio editing process - while he's recording the interview! This is how he can edit eight shows in less than 90 minutes. Without giving away all of the details, he recommends working on your communication skills to minimize your need for editing. Then, he spends quite a bit of time talking about how he uses keystrokes in Adobe Audition while he's recording the interview to mark certain points in the audio for particular editing tasks. You'll want to listen to the end of the podcast for a special link to a free "John Lee Dumas' Speed Editing Cheat Sheet" presented by ShowNotesGuy.com's Lead Generation department. By the way, do the math... that's about 7-12 minutes of editing per 30 minute episode! CRAZY!!! John Lee sums up his discusson on the need for podcasters to edit, and write show notes, et cetera this way, "It's so critical to be productive... but being productive does not equate with outsourcing everything at the beginning. There are some things that we need to take under our own wing, to take under our own charge, to really get to the point where we can outsource because then I can teach someone else how to master it like I have, I can then take this off my plate." In the second part of the interview, JLD provides sage advice on putting your marketing efforts where they should be -- not on downloads, but on building your community. And, at the end, Show Notes Guy, Phillip Swindall gets a totally surprising value bomb from Dumas about show notes.   To learn more about John Lee's Podcaster's Paradise, click here. (affliliate link)

What IS Twitter Bombing?
The Art and Technique of Twitter Bombing   First, there are several different approaches to Twitter Bombing, and you can purchase several courses on the technique. Honestly, I even considered selling a course on the subject, once I cracked the code. I won't post links to the online courses, or call names. But, I will tell you that I've seen the courses sold for as little as $299 and as much as $699.   And, I have been offered, by highly respected podcasters, a service that would "guarantee" me a minimum of 10,000 downloads in a month for $1,500.   That being said, I recognize that this month's feature on the practice of Twitter Bombing will ruffle a few feathers. By the end of the month, I think you'll understand that I'm not the only podcaster who is leading with the negative thoughts of the practice.   Defining Twitter Bombing

010 The Podcasters - Q&A - The Magic Length for Show Notes
Tim Nichols, host of the Brewing Business Podcast, asks the first question of Ask The Podcasters. He wants to  know that the ideal length of a show note should be.   The Show Notes Guy, Phillip Swindall, answers that it depends on what you hope the show note will do. If you're using show notes to attract people to your website, then it should be longer. But, if you use show notes to simply support the podcast listener, then length really won't matter. Show Notes Guy offers transcripts, show notes and other podcast services to podcasters of all types.  For rates on Show Notes, click here For rates on Transcripts, click here For information about Social Media Services, watch our Twitter Strategy Webinar and learn about our Social Media Services here.
