We started with a Christmas recap (6:45) and Abass finally joining the chatty house (10:45). That led to a conversation about Jarrod's random sleep schedule (12:35), including the time that he fell asleep in the Sistine Chapel- and some interesting reasons for doing so (13:20). We closed the intro discussing ways of enhancing the truth (17:05) and then moved into some hoops talk. We weighed in on who the better franchise point guard is between Ja Morant and Trae Young (24:20), and whether James Harden can be the best player on a championship team (33:27). Last in hoops we talked about Cory Booker's new proposed bill, the College Athlete's Bill of Rights and the likelihood of it being released (45:45). In our kickoff episode, we got into a bunch of this week's topics. Starting with music (8:39), we gave our takes on Future and Lil Uzi Vert's latest Pluto x Baby Pluto, 2 Chainz' So Help Me God and where he stacks up with artists of our generation. We also got into whether it's still worth it for artists to keep working with Kanye, this week's Verzuz between Gucci and Jeezy, and Masego's new EP Studying Abroad (double entendre don't ask us how). As we moved to sports (35:19), we look ahead to next NBA season, talk the newest trades, and discuss some draft picks. We also got into the Ivy League's decision to cancel fall and winter sports (43:30), what the decision says about the way the league views its athletes, and what it may mean for the rest of the NCAA. To finish off, we talked about the current status of the Covid-19 pandemic and Pfizer's announcement of a vaccine that could be ready for public distribution soon.
