In the early 80s Atlanta was considered the city that was "Too Busy to Hate" thanks to a Mayor that was determined to see the city succeed. However, underneath the image of prosperity there was a much darker picture forming in part to a man that would go on to be called "The Atlanta Monster," Between 1979 and 1982 more than 28 children, teens, and young adults would allegedly be killed by this monster. But is the man they placed on trial truly responsible for ALL of those deaths? Was he working with someone? Was the KKK involved? What "key evidence" did the FBI find that would be left out of Wayne Williams' trial and why is the current Mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms, reopening this case? 

There are a lot of things that American history classes fail to accurately teach their students. From the initial discovery of "The States" to the treatment of the people that reside within them. This week's episode focuses on a time in history that is usually painted with poodle skirts and classic cars. Today however we are going to be discussing the lynching of Emmett Till in 1955 in Mississippi and the inherit racism that was rampant throughout the South.

This week kicks off the week of our absolute favorite holiday - HALLOWEEN!! We thought there was no better couple to talk about this week than - Mary and Percy Shelley. If you did not know, Mary Godwin Shelley is the author of what we know to be the novel, Frankenstein. This episode contains some very interesting facts about the couple that very much started their relationship because of infatuation. We talk about the dangers of infatuation as well the downfalls infidelity caused in this couple's relationship as much as our own previous relationships. This one gets super transparent - but to be anything else would be a disservice to you all and what we have promised to bring to you every week!
