In fall of 2021, I took 3 months completely off after the birth of my daughter Sophia. While I LOVED having that time with her, there are a few aspects in hindsight that I would have changed about that time. WELL, with God’s sense of humor, I get to practice that all over when we welcome our third daughter, Violet into the world in early 2023. The 2022 CEO Giving Gala was absolutely incredible, and blew normal event stats out of the water. Between 80% of ticket holders showing up live, to 90% of attendees staying the whole time (even though we went over), to me closing 30% of the room after my keynote… I am beyond grateful for what we have accomplished. The most incredible feat, though, is MASSIVELY surpassing our donation goal. Our goal was $8,000, and we donated just under $10,000 before and during the gala, and over the next 12 months we will donate just under $25,000. I am in awe! Hey CEOs! This is a bit of a different episode because it is a compilation of some of the six-figure results our clients have achieved over the years. This is by no means all-encompassing, however it features some of my favorite stories. I share this with you for a few reasons:   Because believe it or not, very few business coaches *actually* have results. In fact, many business coaches don’t even have a six-figure business themselves. I encourage you to ask any business coach point blank if they are hitting six-figures in their business. This is not a rude questions, its doing your due diligence. If they are not, and they have been in business for over a year, don’t work with them. Most coaches have one or two star clients, and they re-use their testimonials over and over. They’ll use them as quotes, with photos, without photos, in video, anonymously, etc. etc. You want to find a coach who has several different testimonials, and kudos if they have testimonials of others in your same industry. Anonymous testimonials don’t count, unless you have an *exceptionally* private niche. Business is not one of those niches. People can literally use their mom as an anonymous testimonial, and I’ve literally seen this happen. The other day, I was scrolling on facebook and an ad caught my eye. 5 minutes later, I had made a purchase on that company’s website. I had never seen them before. I did not know who they were, there were no celebrity endorsements or anything like that. I don’t remember the last time I purchased from an ad. Impulse purchases like that are uncommon for me. And yet, I bought. In this episode, I dive into why I made that purchase, and what it says about buying behavior in general. There’s a popular saying about decisions made in the past, “I made the best decision I could with the information I had.” I have said that saying, in particular about decisions I made that were poor ones, or that I’m not proud of now. Sometimes, it really is true, sometimes we really didn’t know what we didn’t know. However lately, I have taken it upon myself to challenge the beliefs I take for granted, and as I was thinking about that topic, this phrase came up. I asked myself, “Did I *really* make the best decisions with what I knew at the time, or did I let my ego take over and deceive myself into a poor choice?” I think its really hard for people to admit something like that because it kind of *feels* like you are admitting to not being a good person. Which obviously no one wants to do. But as I explored that belief further, I realized that is not true at all!  We can be good people and make bad choices. What that admission actually does is make us aware of the fact that our EGO can and DOES hijack our choices! And *that* is what is wrong with the picture, not necessarily our inward character. When I had hit five months in business, I made some *really* bad choices… and honestly, in most of those cases I *DO* think I knew better. I think because I was scared of failure, I actually let my ego hijack my better judgement, and allowed myself to make decisions that were not in the best interest for myself and my business. In this training, I share what I did, why I made the choices I made, and how you can avoid making the same mistakes I did.  MOST people hit a crossroads in their business, and I believe it is THIS SPECIFIC crossroad that keeps most business owners making $30,000 or less/ year.  Enjoy!
