Patsy Anthony is an elementary teacher with 30 years in the classroom. A few years ago she discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and found it to be extremely effective in helping her cope with the symptoms of Crohn's Disease. Since then, she has found that EFT is a tremendous tool to help kids build confidence, solve problems, get over fear and anxiety, and foster relationships with the people around them. She has used EFT in the classroom with great success and says that 'EFT is a tool to help kids help themselves'. We learned so much from Patsy, and are exited to spread the word about EFT to parents and educators across the globe.

The Lighthouse provides peer support groups for grieving children, youth, and their families. It is a forum for companionship for others who have experienced a 'life-altering death', which means they also learn to cope with the loss of a mother, father, brother or sister. In our discussion, Jo and Britta discuss the different ways that children perceive death, and talk about the grieving process as it pertains to kids. They share specific strategies on how to discuss death with children and youth, and explain how the Lighthouse can serve as a beacon of light for any family dealing with a life-altering death, regardless of where you live.
