OMGeek Podcast #17: The Little Things in Games

It's the little things that separate the good games from the ones that people will be talking about twenty years from now. This episode, we discuss those tiny and thoughtful little details that game designers have put into their games that have made us appreciate them more. We recall some of the more interesting tidbits from our own gaming histories, from "Stop poking me!", to the melting ice cubes found in Metal Gear Solid 2, to the highly context-sensitive dialogue heard in Titanfall. We also talk about some not-so-successful attempts at cool features, like one that involves your player character, his not being able to leave, and his buddy Superfly.
