In our study, we look at our relationship in Jesus Christ and resisting false teaching through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In our study, we will look at the three parts of man and see an example of each part in action. Although we call John the "Apostle of Love", Jesus called him one of the "Sons of Thunder". In this brief letter we will see how both names fit his character.

In our study of the epistle (letter), we will see Paul's prayer for a dear friend as well as a picture of grace demonstrated through Jesus Christ. The theme of the letter is freedom versus slavery.

In our study of Titus chapter three, we will look at the fact that being a light in this dark world requires learning and work on our part. In chapter two, we saw that the church should be sound in the Word of God. This begins with the leadership as we saw in the first chapter and now we will see how the Word of God causes us to be active in our faith.

In our study of Titus chapter two, we will look at Paul's instructions concerning teaching the Word of God in the church. In chapter one, we saw that a Christian leader's ministry must be able and willing to stand on the Word of God. Here, we will see that, as a leader, he/she has the duty to teach that Word.

In our study, we look at the desired qualities of a leader in the local body of believers (church). This letter was sent to the pastor of the church at Crete in order to give him instructions about leaders and the church.

In our study of 2 Thessalonians chapter three, we will look at Paul's teaching on how important it is to not only learn the Word but to actually live it. Paul always preached the gospel with words but also with action and he ends this letter to the Thessalonian believers by urging them to follow his example.

In our study of 2 Thessalonians chapter two, we look at the signs that Paul told us to look for concerning the day of the Lord. In Thessalonica, there was a false report being made that Paul had said that the people were living in the day of the Lord. This had caused confusion and concern as the church there was suffering persecution. In response to that, Paul reassures the church and gives us some guidance on the great tribulation period.

In our study, we look at the difference between discipline and punishment. We will see how and why God disciplines His children and how and why He will punish those that reject Him.

A look at the book of Obadiah

In our study of Zephaniah chapter three, we will look at the purification of the city of Jerusalem and the coming reign of God's people from the city. In chapter two, we saw God's judgment on the nations surrounding Israel and now we see God's judgment come home to the city of Jerusalem.

In our study of Zephaniah chapter two, we look at the judgment of the nations surrounding Israel. In chapter one, we saw how God judged His people because of His love and jealousy for them. Now, God's focus shifts to their neighbors and how they treated His people.

In our study, we will look at jealousy which is the dark side of love. We have all heard that God is love but we do not often hear that He is also a jealous God and He is jealous because of that love for His people.

In our study of Habakkuk chapter three, we will see how remembering the past actions of God can strengthen us for our walk today. This prayer shows us how our concerns can be laid to rest when we remember what God has already done and the fact that He is unchanging.

In this study of Habakkuk chapter two, we look at how God answers the concerns of the prophet about dealing with evil. In chapter 1, God had told him that He was going to use the Babylonians to conquer Judah and the prophet questioned the use of such an evil people.

In our study, we look at the complaints that the prophet brings to God and look at the reasons for them. We may be quick to judge and say that there is no such thing as righteous anger but we will look deeper into God's Word for the answer to this and other questions.

In our study of Nahum chapter three we will see that God is justified in seeking His vengeance against the people of Nineveh. We will see that He had good reason for bringing His judgment on the city and its people and we will apply the principle to the nations of today.

In our study of Nahum chapter two, we will see what happens when a nation turns from trusting in God to trusting in themselves. This prophecy was fulfilled in the historical Battle of Nineveh in 612 BC when Babylonians and Medes came against the city. There are lessons in here for us (as Christians) as well as for the nation of Israel.

In our study, we look at God's justice being poured out on the city of Nineveh and the Assyrians. Although this prophecy has already been fulfilled, there are still lessons in it for us today. We will see how the United States of today is in danger of the same type of judgment that was carried out on the Assyrian empire.

In our study of Micah chapter seven, we look at the fact that, even though man is totally corrupt, God still promises a pardon for our sins. In chapter 6, we saw the example of a divine courtroom where the outcome of the trial of Israel was a conviction of their sin and a sentence of judgment. Now, we see the promise of a pardon from God for the people of Israel and we are reminded of the fact that Israel was meant to be an example to the world of God's greatness.
