Bruce joins me as a guest and shares some of the highlights of his new book and some of the tactics and strategies he has used and continues to use to battle his depression. Ross’ story is a powerful one. Not many people are brave enough to share their mental health trials with close friends, let alone write a book about it and share it with the world. Join me for this in-depth and honest conversation about mental health and one man’s work to be a little bit better every day.

Gold and Silver
New year and new name for the Podcast. The Oil Dudes Podcast is now Project Sheepdog. And my first guest is an old friend Darren Long of Delta Harbour Assets.  Have you ever been interested in owning physical gold and silver? I have and luckily I've had the opportunity to sit down with an expert in the field, Darren Long. Darren and I are old high school buddies who re-connected and he shared with me some of the pros and cons of owning precious metals. This turned into a much longer conversation that we originally planned, but did I ever get some great info out of it.  Thanks for listening

Gurdeep Ahluwalia
Gurdeep Ahluwalia is the host of Canada’s most watched regional morning show on CP24. He has been the host since 2016 and prior to that he was the on TSN on SportsCentre. What impresses me the most about Gurdeep is he is the type of person who goes out and makes things happen for himself. Even when he was unsuccessful or got turned down for an opportunity he continued to hustle and not let that bring him down. He likes to say that he “reads the tea leaves” and has jumped into different positions in the Toronto media landscape. He’s reinvented himself a couple of times, from print to lifestyle to sports and then to being the news anchor on CP24. Gurdeep is open and honest and gives a behind the scenes look into what happens on a morning show. We also a touch a little bit on how he deals with his mental health Ron Burgundy, he is not. Well maybe a little bit. Follow him on Instagram at @gurdeepa Twitter @GurdeepA   And watch him every morning from 5am to 9am on CP24 Follow the Oil Dudes Podcast on Facebook @theoildudespodcast  Instagram @the_oil_dudes and Twitter @strattosphere76 Thanks for listening

Brian Stemmle
Brian Stemmle is a Canadian 4 time Olympic Alpine skier. He was a member of the Canadian Ski Team from 1984-1999. He’s also a broadcaster on CBC and Sportsnet covering downhill skiing. In 1989, Brian had one of the most spectacular crashed in professional skiing history at Kitzbuhel Austria. When it was over he had a shattered pelvis and serious internal injuries. Most people would be thankful to be able to walk again after such a crash. But Brian came back and skied at 3 more Olympic games.   I wanted to talk to Brian because I wanted to dig into what motivated him to get back to the top of the skiing world after almost losing his life to it. Not just back to skiing, but to skiing at the highest level of the sport. Here’s the video of the crash   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSIb65xHEhQ   Follow him on Instagram at @brianstemmle   If you want more information on the Oil Dudes, you can check us out on the web at theoilgirlscanada.ca/the-oil-dude or on Facebook @theoildudespodcast  and Instagram @the_oil_dudes and Twitter @strattosphere76 A little disclaimer for the legal side of things. Shamanism and Sacred Healing
My guest this week is Naty Howard. Naty is a sacred healer and wellness warrior. She is the author of the upcoming book ‘Your Mighty Inner Healer’, a certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, Shamanic Practitioner, a certified QRA™ Practitioner, and a landscape painter. She holds a certificate in Ayurvedic Living Nutrition and a BAA in Photographic Arts. Naty’s work and passion are anchored in the awareness that every breath and every action are an opportunity to transform. She offers classes and workshops to awaken into sacredness, come back into alignment of body, mind and soul through deep reverence. She offers tools and practices for those who seek to power up their health, ignite their transformation and spark their revolution, that are anchored in Earth and ancestral wisdom. Having healed herself from extreme heavy metal toxicity causing numbness on the right side of her body, she now offers others tools and practices for deep healing, for the reclaiming of your self, your power, freedom, purpose, best potential, your buried soul treasures and the possibility to truly reclaim your mightiness. I recently met Naty at a Sacred full moon ceremony where she walked us through a yoga practice, some meditation with deep belly breathing and then she took us through a guided spiritual journey. I’d never done one like this and it was a pretty cool experience. I missed a good chunk of the journey that everyone else got, as I kinda fell asleep. But according to Naty that’s what my body needed at that time.   You can follow Naty on Instagram   @naty_howard   Facebook   Sacred Yoga Spirit Medicine   And you can contact her on the intrerwebs @   natyhoward.com   If you want more information on the Oil Dudes, you can check us out on the web at   theoilgirlscanada.ca/the-oil-dude   or on Facebook   @theoildudespodcast    and Instagram   @the_oil_dudes   and Twitter   @strattosphere76   A little disclaimer for the legal side of things. My Story
I originally started my podcast as a way to help my wife share her story about health and wellness. I had always kinda wanted to be a radio DJ so it seemed like a really good idea. Then it morphed and I started to interview other people about their health and personal journeys to their stories out. Maybe, just maybe in the end the entire podcast was created to get my own story out...and this is my story.
