John Ursua just finished his Rookie season for the Seattle Seahawks. He played his college football for the University of Hawaii at Manoa and in his final season led the country in Touchdown receptions. I was fortunate enough to talk to him about his time in Hawaii, the transition from college to the pros, what he learned during his rookie year, and much more. Give it a listen! 

Bob Hogue became commissioner of the PacWest Conference in 2007. Since then the conference has doubled in size and is now one of the more prominent NCAA Division II conferences in the West region.  He talks about his unconventional career path that included 30 plus years of radio and television broadcasting work as well as six years as a state senator in Hawaii. Jackson Stava's path to the Athletic Director's chair is not a conventional one. He graduated from Azuza Pacific University with a bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies and from there realized that he had a passion for working with student athletes. He was hired to be Seattle Pacific University's Athletic Director in 2016 and has been working hard to build a strong athletic program that focuses on more than just wins and losses. 

Shondell Reed, Senior Associate Athletic Director at the University of Washington, tells us his story about his pathway into athletics. The road to his current job at the University of Washington was long and filled with many detours as he originally wanted to pursue a career in Law. The podcast goes in depth about the responsibilities of working in a major Pac-12 athletic department as well as the opportunities and  challenges it brings with it. 

Shaney Fink became the Athletic Director for Seattle University in 2016 and had previously worked at the University of San Diego. She talks about her path to becoming an AD, building a strong community at SU, NCAA legislation and much more! 

Mr. Tanabe is a Seattle University Alum who currently works for the Seattle Storm. He gives us a look into the world of professional sports as well as talking about his background and the steps he's taken to get to this point. 

Jerome Brown Jr. is currently the Operations Coordinator for the  Seattle University Athletic Department but has also created his own podcast, has a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Baylor University, worked as a Graduate Assistant for the American Football Coaches Association, along with other stops along the way.
