Panthers forward Matthew Myers sits down with Dan Kerry to look back at his career after becoming only the second ever player to ice in 1000 Premier Sports Elite League games.

The forward iced for the Panthers during the 2015/16 campaign, his last as a professional, and his offensive exploits helped the team to lift both the Challenge Cup and Playoff championships at the end of the season. Victoria Bach is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The goalscoring forward gets into her hockey beginnings, why she chose Boston University (where she racked up an incredible 198 points in 145 games over four years) to start her journey towards playing professional ice hockey and going pro with the Markham Thunder of the CWHL. Victoria got called up to the Canadian senior team after being named "Rookie of the Year" in her first, and only, year in the CWHL after recording 32 points in 26 games and she takes you behind the scenes of the selection process and her experiences with the national team at the World Championships & the 4 Nations Cup. After the CWHL disbanded following the 2018/19 season Victoria joined up with the PWHPA (Professional Women's Hockey Player's Association) in order to fight for a sustainable, professional women's league and gets into the other goals and ambitions for the organisation as they look to give young, hockey loving girls something to aspire to playing in. The former NHLer joined the Panthers in January 2010 with the Panthers in the hunt for the league, the Challenge Cup & the playoffs and he gets into all the big moments and characters (such as Corey Neilson, Jade Galbraith, Bruce Richardson and more) from his time in black & gold. Jay enjoyed his time in Nottingham so much that he agreed to come back for the 2010/11 seson but he never appeared in a game due to a career-ending injury that he lists the lid on. The power forward also gets into his time in the NHL with the Boston Bruins, playing in mainland Europe and playing on one of the league's deadliest lines with Cameron Mann and Sean McAslan. Sean McAslan is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The popular Canadian forward forward spent three full seasons with the Panthers overall (06/07, 07/08 & 09/10) plus a short spell during the 2011/12 campaign and he gets into all of the big moments from those seasons in a bumper episode of the Audio Experience. During his time in Nottingham Sean won the Playoffs in his debut season, a post-season run most remembered for the performance of netminder Rastislav Rovnianek, as well as two Challenge Cups, lifting one (07/08) as the captain. After a season away from the Panthers in Denmark then Head Coach Corey Neilson convinced Sean to return to Nottingham for the 2009/10 season, his final full season in black and gold, and he gets into what brought him back. Dominic Talbot-Tassi is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The defenceman is currently embarking on his first professional campaign with the Panthers in the Elite Series and he gets into how he's found it so far, how Dominic also gets talks about where he grew up in Montreal, where the game of ice hockey came into his life, when he realised that he wanted to pursue the sport as career, what other sports he played growing up and what the biggest lesson he learnt growing up playing sports was. In his pursuit of his dream of playing professional ice hockey Dominic joined the Sherbrooke Phoenix (a QMJHL expansion franchise) and played there for a little over a season and a half before being traded to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and reveals what he went through when that happened. After a promising four years in junior hockey Dominic made the decision to to go to McGill University and he explains why it was the best decison of his life, what led him to choosing engineering as his subject to study, what goign to college meant to him and why he almost gave up on his dream due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nick Riopel is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The former netminder was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2009 and has a fascinating story that saw him play in Europe (Scotland, Denmark & France) before he worked his way up to playing a pre-season game for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He then had to retire due to health complications that saw him retire before age 30 and go full time as a player agent as President of Propulsion Sports Agency. Nick played for the Dundee Stars during the 2012/13 season and he talks about his experiences playing against the Grand Slam winning Nottingham Panthers team, you're not going to want to miss what served as his introduction to the one and only David Ling. As an agent Nick has sent two players to The Nottingham Panthers, Alexis Loiseau and Dominic Talbot-Tassi, as well as having a client at another Elite Series team, the Sheffield Steelers' Jeremy Beaudry, and and he gets into how he works out the best fit for his players. The defenceman iced for the Panthers during the 2013/14 season and despite being limited to just 43 games, due to a combination of injuries and suspensions, he managed to rack up 292 penalty minutes. Brent is one of the true characters to ever grace the Elite Ice Hocky League and he gets into all of the big moments from his time in black & gold such as the Challenge Cup win, participating in the Continental Cup and the rivalry with Sheffield. Jamie Lee Rattray is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The Canadian had a standout career at Clarkson University, where she played alongside fellow Audio Experience alum Renata Fast, that culminated in winning both the NCAA Championship and the Patty Katzmaier award, given to top collegiate female ice hockey player, in her final season with the program. After graduating Jamie set out on her professional career where she was drafted by the CWHL's (Canadian Women's Hockey League) Brampton Thunder, an organisation she would stay with until the league folded at the end of the 2018/19 season at which point she signed up with the PWHPA (Professional Women's Hockey Players Association) to fight for a sustainable professional women's league in North America. Jamie has been in and out of the Team Canada international set-up and she talks about the pressures that brings and the toll it takes to make it to the highest level of the game. The forward had a breakout tournament at the 2018/19 World Championships, recording six points (three goals, three assists) in seven games and is looking to build on that when the next World Championships get the go ahead. Jordan Henry is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The defenceman may never have played in the Elite League but he's got plenty of connections to this side of the pond and he gets into all of those whilst telling some truly wonderful stories from his lengthy career. Jordan spent the final five seasons of his career at the ECHL's Brampton Beast where he played alongside former Panthers' Jeff Brown, Mathieu Gagnon, Tim Billinglsey plus the one and only David Ling - so you know the know the tales will be worth tuning in for. Due to the players David Ling sent the Panthers way the Nottingham fans have heard a lot about the Beast and now you can get the inside track, from someone who made a home there, on an organisation and a city you've heard all about. On top of that Jordan gets into his excursions into Europe (where he played in Belarus, Sweden and Finland), playing in the AHL, being named the captain of two organisations and hanging up his skates after the completion of the 2019/20 season. Jaynen Rissling is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The hulking defenceman was with the Panthers for the 2018/19 campaign and made a memorable impact throughout the Elite League thanks to his no-nonsense style of play, delivering some of the cleanest open ice hits the league has ever seen. Jaynen's take-no-prisoners approach to the game saw him incur the wrath of DoPS (Department of Player Safety) on more than one occasion and he gets into the frustrations of missing games after being labelled a "repeat offender", despite never being penalised for the same offence twice. The 18/19 roster was full of characters and there hilarious stories about the likes of Alex Guptill, Josh Tetlow (who was Jaynen's roomate), Adam Goodridge, Rick Strachan, Chris Stewart and more! Jon Weaver joins host Dan Kerry for a special, podcast only, bonus episode of The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. After being released by the Coventry Blaze after the 2011/12 season Jon made the move across the Midlands to the Panthers, a move that was part of one of the biggest shake-ups in British hockey history that saw then Panthers' Captain Danny Meyers leave the team, after a conversation with Corey Neilson and the rest, as they say, is history. During what he describes as "the best season of his career" Jon went on to win the Elite League championship, the Challenge Cup and the Playoffs with the Panthers to complete a Grand Slam in his first season in black & gold. Sami Jo Small is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. Serving as the backup to Kim St. Pierre at the 2002 Winter Olympic in Turin Sami was part of the first Canadian women's team to win Olympic Gold, a victory that would set in motion a run of four consecutive gold medals for Team Canada at the Winter Olympics. Sami would pick up two more Olympic medals in her storied career (one gold, one silver), alongside four gold medals at the World Championships, and there's stories from the big games from the international stage throughout this packed episode of the Audio Experience. The netminder also won the CWHL's Clarkson Cup in 2014 making her, at the time, only the third women's ice hockey goaltender to have won Winter Games gold, IIHF gold and the Clarkson. After hanging up her skates Sami went on to become the General Manager of the Toronto Furies up until the CWHL disbanded in the summer of 2018. The 6'6" forward scored 44 goals during the Panthers' 2012/13 Grand Slam campaign, where he was part of one of the deadliest lines to ever take to the ice in the EIHL era alongside David Ling & Brandon Benedict, and he breaks down that historic season from inside the locker room. One of the voices of the Seattle Kraken, the NHL's newest expansion franchise, Everett talks about his journey as a broadcaster in the wonderful world of ice hockey that has led him to the position of Radio Play-by-Play Announcer of the Kraken. In a conversation full of laughter & good times Everett tells tales from his time working in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones, getting a recommendation from the legendary Mike "Doc" Emerick, meeting Wayne Gretzky, getting to work with John Forslund, how the Kraken are a progressive team for a progressive city, the games he already has mentally circled on the calendar and much, much more. When he was hired by the Kraken Everett became the first full-time black commentator in NHL history and is the only black commentator at any level of professional ice hockey in North America, whilst never setting out to be a trailblazer the native of Detroit talks about how he has embraced that status since acheiving one of his life goals and how it has added even more fuel to his fire. Jamie Leach is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, in association with The Nottingham Building Society. The former Panthers' captain starts the conversation by getting into his hockey beginnings, breaking into the NHL & winning the Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins alongside future Panthers' team mate Jim Paek before getting into his move to the UK. Jamie's first season in the UK was with the Sheffield Steelers during the 1996/97 British Ice Hockey Super League (BISL) season before making the switch to the black & gold of the Panthers for the 1997/98 season & he would remain in Nottingham for four seasons in total. Appointed captain of the team for three of those seasons (98/99, 99/00 & 00/01) Jamie led the team to a B & H Championship (98/99) and into the inaugural season inside the state-of-the-art Motorpoint Arena (00/01), a campaign that saw the infamous bench-clearing brawl between the Panthers & the Steelers. Rebecca Johnston, three-time Olympic medallist with Team Canada, is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience, brought to you in association with The Nottingham Building Society. At just 20 years of age and still at college Rebecca, who's brother Jacob played two years with the now defunct Edinburgh Capitals, was called up to Team Canada to take part in her first Olympic games scoring her first Olympic goal and picking up her first Olympic gold medal. Two more Olympic games would follow where she picked up another gold and then a silver (in an agonising shootout defeat against the USA) in what has been a sparkling career in the game of ice hockey so far. Rebecca was also part of the Calgary Inferno team that won the last Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) championship prior to the league folding, a move that saw the Sudbury, Ontario native link up with her fellow interational team mates in joining the Professional Women's Ice Hockey Association (PWHPA).
