NM 005: The 7 Network Marketing Skills To Master
Click Above To Play Welcome to the fifth episode of the network marketing HQ podcast. This episode is all about the seven network marketing skills you need to master. These really are the keys to the kingdom and if you can master these seven skills then you can literally write your own pay cheque. When it comes to learning any skill, industry, competitive sports or business there are normally only seven things that you need to master. The network marketing you need to be able to master: 1. Finding People To Talk To 2. Booking Meetings 3. Presenting The Opportunity 4. Following Up 5. Sponsoring and Launching A Consultant 6. Teaching and Training 7. Goals, Planning and Time Management The 7 Network Marketing Skills To Master 1. Finding People To Talk To The first skill is finding people to talk to otherwise known as lead generation. When you first start out in the marketing it's important to start with the people you already know so people in your network. Don't make the mistake of starting with people that you don't know. This is called network marketing not strangers marketing. Once you have gone through your own network we then look at other lead generation strategies. When you get good at finding people to talk to you will have a never ending stream of new people enquiring with you. 2. Booking Meetings The next skill is all about being able to book meetings. When you first start calling people on the telephone this might make you feel uncomfortable at first and this is normal. Everybody goes through this and get easier with time. Before you make your phone call make sure that you are in a good state and frame of mind. If you find out the needs, once and goals of that person then you will have no problem booking a meeting with him to help find a solution. 3. Presenting The Opportunity The next skill to master is being able to present your opportunity. This is normally done through a one-to-one, through and official meeting, a group presentation or even just by showing them a video. This varies from company to company but it normally is a presentation about the company, about the products and how it all works. The good news is that presentation skills can all be learned. Great presenters are made and not born. 4. Following Up Once you have delivered a presentation it's time to master the follow-up. Many people will not want to start right away and will want to reflect on what you have just shared with them. This is normal. With most businesses
