Episode #134 - Star Trek's Sitcom: Star Trek: Lower Decks
Viacom CBS has been expanding their use of the Star Trek license since the debut of Star Trek: Discovery in 2017. In late 2018, the announcement was made for the adult animated comedy series, Star Trek: Lower Decks. To use the Trekkie cliché, CBS was boldly going where no Star Trek series has gone before. While adult animation is not exactly a gamble in 2020, there was some doubt among Trek fans as to whether it would work in Roddenberry's universe. As of August 6th, 2020, we can now decide for ourselves. Mike McMahan's (Rick and Morty) take on Trek is now available for our enjoyment or torment on CBS All Access (and Netflix outside of the U.S.) Does it succeed where Discovery and Picard fell short? The Nerdbliss crew as well as 10 other episode contributors are here to deliver the verdict.

Episode #133 - Cartoon Culture
We of The NerdBliss Podcast are from a cartoon generation. We got to see the golden age and the end of Saturday morning cartoons. We had the best after-school shows that anyone could ask for. We dedicated this episode to our favorite memories of the cartoons we loved (and a couple that we didn't). Call or text us 24/7 at (864) 715-9446 and leave us feedback on this or any other episode. Episode #132 – COVID-19 Special
If you follow this show and are seeing this as a new episode post, you’re probably very tired of hearing about COVID-19 by now. Honestly, we sincerely hope you’re not looking BACK on this episode as a record of the time before civilization fell. As of March 2020, many have died of COVID-19 around the world, with hundreds of thousands of people confirmed as having the virus. These are scary times, and we give voice to some of our specific fears in this episode. We also talk about how we are coping and staying positive during “social distancing” and self-imposed quarantine in our homes.

Episode #130 - Birds of Prey and Disney+ after The Mandalorian
We take a stab at figuring out the deal with Birds of Prey: The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. We'll go ahead and tell you here that those of us that saw the movie enjoyed it. In fact, most people that we heard from liked the movie. So what are the real reasons for its modest box office take? Also, would you like us to talk about Cartoon Network's DC Super Hero Girls? Also, since season one of The Mandalorian has all been released, what do you do with your Disney+ subscription? We have some suggestions! But do not think we actually kept the entire show on topic. We finish with a geeky stream of consciousness that covers voice acting, Transformers, The Toys That Made Us, Supaidaman, and more! #nerdblisspodcast #ESOnetwork Call or text us 24/7 at (864) 715-9446 and leave us feedback on this or any other episode. Episode #129 - BoJack's End
After a segment of free-associative conversation that goes from The Mandalorian to Kevin Smith to He-Man and Skeletor. We then focus the rest of the episode on the series finale of BoJack Horseman. We were pretty emotionally invested in BoJack's fate. How did we handle the outcome? Listen and find out. Call or text us 24/7 at (864) 715-9446 and leave us feedback on this or any other episode. Episode #128 - Star Trek: Picard - Part 2, And More!
Our deep and sincere love for Sir Patrick Stewart begins the second part of our discussion of Star Trek: Picard. We were two episodes in at the time we recorded this episode. We revisit the classic sticking points of the Star Trek fandom. Are angry fans simply mourning the loss of their youth? This dovetails into a discussion of the evolution of classic bands Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More. Then there's Eminem. Does Marshall still Mathers? We definitely think so.

The wait is finally over, and Star Trek: Picard is finally here! After a brief interchange about Schitt's Creek and Eugene Levy's eyebrows, we dive deep into a nerdy stream of consciousness about Picard, Romulans, Data, synthetic lifeforms, the Borg, profanity, and much, much more!

Episode #126 - Space Force!
Strap yourself in, Major Tom. This episode makes about as much sense as the existence of The U.S, Space Force. In the wake of two major episodes about Star Wars related stuff, we wring just a little more blood out of the Star Wars turnip and then hit upon topics that include The World According To Jeff Goldblum, Dolly Parton, Seth Macfarlane's move to NBC, Screwball peanut butter whiskey, and the live-action Aladdin. We then discuss the absurdity known as the U.S. Space Force. Call or text us 24/7 at (864) 715-9446 and leave us feedback on this or any other episode. We might play or read your message on the show!

Episode #125 - The Cries of Skywalker (Fans)
The Skywalker saga has ended, for better or worse. No need in putting off the inevitable any longer. We give our thoughts on The Rise of Skywalker. What did we like? What didn't we like? Was it a fitting farewell to Carrie Fisher? Did J.J. try to undo The Last Jedi? You may or may not agree with us, but here is our verdict.

Episode #124 - Mandalorian Cats
This session was recorded on 12/29/2019. In this episode, we continue our discussion of The Mandalorian after the first season finale aired. But before we get to that, Tina and Chris talk about seeing Cats The Movie. As a fan of the original London stage show, Chris has some rather strong feelings about this movie as well as its overall reception. Only then do you get to hear our thoughts on all that Mandalorian goodness. Episode #123 - Disney+ and First Impressions of The Mandalorian
We're back, if a little late to the game. We're going to play a little catch-up. We recorded this episode on 12/1/2019. Disney+ had been with us less than a month, and already we were gorging ourselves on the likes of The World According to Jeff Goldblum and the Ducktales reboot. But of course, the real Disney+ payload was the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. We had four episodes under our belts and we gave our first impressions...as if you can't guess what they are.

Episode #122 - BoJack Horseman
On its face, Netflix's adult animated series BoJack Horseman appears to be typical of the genre, using the inexplicable incorporation of anthropomorphic animals with humans as its apparent hook. Once you get beyond that particular oddity, you will get a show that is not only a very good comedy, but that goes into some very real, and very dark places. Chris, Tina, and Heath watched the show up to the end of the first half of Season 6, (with the final episodes of the series set to go live in January 2020) and discuss how this very funny and somewhat trigger-y show affected them. SPOILER WARNING - BOJACK HORSEMAN SEASON 6. We recommend watching at least some of the series to get the most out of this podcast episode. It contains MANY SPOILERS. If you're planning to watch the show with no knowledge of what's to come, skip this episode and come back to it once you're caught up.
