TOC SENTRY  -Mike Picks It The 2023 PGA Tour Season kicked off last week with Jon Rahm over-running a faltering Collin Morikawa. Magic Mike had Rahm at the top of the Data Lake and he came good. The Sony Kicks off this week and no surprise to see wunderkind Tom Kim at eh top of the Lake. The DP World Tour Kick off in the UAE with an interesting format of 2 x teams siding up against each other. One team represents GB&I and the other Continental Europe. Will be interesting to see this one unfold. Also best of luck to Mike Browne who takes on the best in the G4D tour event run in conjunction with the DP World Tour this event.

Aus Open Week with Magic and Rossco Well, that was some week in golf for Australia. The Aus Open where 3 national titles were decided. Podcast favourite Adrian Meronk won the Men's  Ashleigh Buhai won the Women's Open and Kipp Popert won the All Abilities Aus Open. A wonderful week in golf and a great marketing initiative for the game. Was it perfect...NO. Can it be improved...YES. THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN WEEK The Australian Open for our professional men and women golfers hits town this week as all eyes descend on our unique format. Played over two courses with men and women running in conjunction. A super field with many of Australia's favourite golfers, a host of international names and around 8 major title winners. Now that is a tournament I want to see. CATHEDRAL INVITATIONAL WITH DAVID EVANS Directly following the Aus Open is the Cathedral Invitational held at the prestigious Cathedral GC in Thornton VIC. The course owned and conceived by Victorian businessman David Evans, and built by Greg Norman is a new 2-day tournament designed to give our star golfers another reason to support the Australian Summer of Golf. THE SUMMER OF GOLF After a short break, the lads are back together.   This week we begin our chats on the Aussie Summer of Golf. Mike is up in QLD at the Aus PGA which is of course headlined by Cameron Smith. The event being held at Royal Queensland is headed up not only by Cameron Smith but a host of Australian and global golf superstars. Adam Scott Min Woo Lee Lucas Herbert Ryan Fox Marc Lieshman Nicolai and Rasmus Hoejgaard Just to name a few. We are looking forward to this first of Australia's big tour events. The local talent to look out for is numerous. New PGA Tour Grad Harrison Endycott, Asian Amateur Winner Harrison Crowe, last year's winner and LIV Golf Regular Jediah Morgan are all in the field and will be pushing the stars along at a course that will host the Brisbane Olympics. Presidents Cup Wrap Don't get me wrong. Of what we watched during the Presidents Cup we really enjoyed it. Of course, there were the highs and lows for the Internationals with the USA securing another solid win. Pleasingly we saw the rise of some potential future stars who may go on to represent s at many future Prez Cups. However, the question remains. does the Presidents Cup need a spic up to stay relevant? We discuss what this means to us and consider, in light of the LIV Golf Economy, is there a better way to utilise this fan favourite format on a more frequent global scale.?? What a week. Well, that is a wrap on the season for the PGA Tour with Rory McIlroy taking out the season closing Tour Championship, He is fired up at the moment and is squarely leading the charge with the players in the PGA Tour Camp. All the while over at LIV GOLF it has been a week where one of the most rumoured signings became a reality when 150th Open Champ, Cam Smith took his buddy Mark Lieshman across to join LIV Golf just in time for this week's Boston International Event. There is so much going on in the world of competitive golf—great fuel for golf fans and podcasters alike.   Let's get stuck into this EP.
