Lead a Successful Life Now
Dan Miller is a life changer and he is here today to speak some truth that us mamas need to hear. Dan is a husband, father and NY Times Bestselling author, coach and speaker. He believes each one of us is designed to have a purpose and fulfill it. As young mamas, this idea of pursuing purpose can be extremely difficult to wrap our exhausted heads around when we are pursuing toddlers and changing poopy diapers. Like other tired mamas I thought my purpose had to wait until my children were a certain age (which is true to a certain extent, we talk about this in this episode), however, now I realize, we can’t separate our lives from our motherhood and vice versa. The different parts of our lives are completely and beautifully woven together. Our purpose is found amongst the entire pattern not in just one part of it.

Less is More (Especially In Your Home)
Allie Casazza joins us today to share how she has found contentment through choosing less rather than more. A lot of us in Western civilization believe happiness is in our stuff. More stuff equals more happiness. However, it never seems like it brings us the happiness we are so craving. Allie found herself in the midst of too much stuff and decided to take back her life. She took action one night by clearing out all the extra stuff in the playroom and began to take back her home and happiness. More importantly, she broke the chains of depression and was able to become the wife and mother she wanted to be.

Creating a Business and Family Life With Personality and Soul
Wouldn’t it be amazing to finally understand a spouse’s quirky habit or a child’s confusing learning style instead of continuously getting upset by it? Ashley Logsdon is an expert in understanding and reading personality styles. She is with us today to share how she has taken this knowledge and applied it to her marriage and family. Ashley reveals how she has been able to learn each of her family member’s personality traits and therefore work with them instead of against them. She also dives into how she has started her business but has kept her family as the priority. We also get to talk about what “unschooling” is and the many transitional phases of motherhood.

What Motherhood, Middle School and Villages Have in Common
Today’s episode is a little different than my usual interview because I get to have one of my best friends, Noelle Higdon, on to discuss the desperate need for mamas to belong to a village. I’m not speaking of a village with straw covered roofs but the kind of community it takes to raise children. Due to social media and other modern conveniences in today’s Western society, mothers are feeling alone and isolated. This isolation can lead to depression whether short or long term. The workload of being a mother is meant to be shared with other mamas. Today we discuss how to find a village and how to get connected. We also talk about free self -care and why it is a necessity. The second part of this episode will be on a later date, but true to perfect mama form, we both kept getting interrupted by our sweet kiddos and never got to finish our entire conversation!

Coming Clean About Clean Eating
You ever wonder how in the world some moms who feed their families really good, clean food do it? I have wondered this myself staring at the frozen pizza section on yet another, last minute grocery store trip. I decided that I have to start making changes in how I approach dinner. So I brought in the expert, Michelle Pfennighaus! Michelle has the best approach to helping others become healthier eaters. She coaches everything in moderation and to eat cleaner foods. Also, we aren’t all the same in our dietary needs so we shouldn’t be using the same cookie cutter diet as the next person. We also get to discuss meal planning, and how it can save a ton of time and headaches!

You Are What You Think
Dana Wilde, author of Train Your Brain, is with me today as we discuss how beliefs stored in the unconscious mind affect our reality. She teaches how to stop living in the past and storing negative beliefs about ourselves and start living in the present with a sense of freedom and fulfillment.

Will the Show Continue?

So after a lot of prayer and reflection, here is what I chose to do!

When Everything Goes Wrong, What Do You Do Next?
My family and I have been in a season of everything going wrong for almost two months now. My daughter has been extremely sick on and off and then this past week, she had a severe allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin she was on. After one trip to the ER, one trip to her doctor (where yes, our car was stolen) and one trip to the allergist, I felt exhausted emotionally and physically, but I realized when you don’t give up, there is only one thing to do. Keep going. I hope to encourage and motivate you through whatever you are going through and remind you that tomorrow is a new day, so don’t lose heart, you will get through this!

So after looking for a business to buy she finally found a great match and has now turned a good business into a GREAT business. Business Among Moms has grown under Julie and helps mom business owners everywhere network with each other.

Defining Your Success To Create Structure
On this journey of motherhood, I have learned many lessons, such as; definitely change the wet diaper before you nurse because if you don’t you probably will get whatever is in that diaper on you while you are nursing! Some lessons are more eye-opening than others. Recently, I learned a new lesson about structuring my time and the connection between structure and my view on what it meant to be successful. This past year I felt like a constant failure as a business owner, mother and wife always trying to catch up while never being able to get ahead. I couldn’t figure out why this was always the case until the last couple months when the perfect storm of circumstances arose and left me at my wit’s end. Join me today as I describe what I think stops most of us mompreneurs from ever feeling successful in our personal lives and in our work lives and what we can do to change that.

When Being a Mom Doesn’t Fulfill You Like You Thought it Would and Recognizing Your Inner Voice to Start Living Your Purpose.
I hope you read the title of this episode and it made you go aaahhh… I’m not the only one who has thought that! Maybe I’m not the worst mom in the world! It was a hard headline to write but that is one of the main topics my guest Kris Prochaska, author of Life Well Spoken, and I discuss. Now, this is not an episode saying that moms are not fulfilled by their role of motherhood; in fact, I will say becoming a mom has been the BIGGEST blessing of my life and I love my daughter more than life itself. However, I quickly realized that the day-in, day-out routine left me isolated and depressed because I wasn’t able to exercise my other God-given strengths. It has taken me a lot of time of tripping over guilt and questioning my thoughts and drive but I have come to the solid answer that it is not only ok that I have these feelings it is actually a good thing. I mean a good thing because it is not setting my daughter up for failure to always be my source of fulfillment. Just like in any healthy relationship, we must always remember if we are looking for the other person to fulfill us or make us happy, we never will be. Our happiness is up to us. It is time to recognize that and get over the guilt and on with our lives! Kris helps us today with this by teaching us how to decipher and listen to our inner voice and ignore the other voices that confuse us.
