RIP Kobe Bryant Hey there folks, This week, we mourn the loss of a tremendously talented sports figure who inspired millions. That doesn’t help our case of the Mondays we have going on, but we persevere! Joe Rogan is taking heat from all sides for casually endorsing Bernie Sanders, and honestly? people really need to relax. The new Gig worker protections in California from AB5 continue to have unforeseen detriment, how long until a more sensible refinement comes along? THE CORONA VIRUS… is currently overblown, especially if you’re listening in the US. Also this week, Shafir is a jerk, Curb is more important than Picard, Ultimate warrior eulogizes himself, and we Tom Sawyer a radio tower climb. All these topics and more in this weeks edition! Bernie continues to surge, and Elizabeth Warren screws the pooch on a hot mic. Rick and Nick take turns being horrified by “Don’t F#ck With Cats” on Netflix (seriously, it’s messed up.) Hey dudes. It’s hard for anyone to take anything seriously in the modern age, including impending doom. At least we’ll die laughing? Welcome to the show! This week, we welcome 2020 (Ber ber berrrrr). It’s already been a busy year, with impeachment, campaigns, and military strikes. Good news is, young folk in Iran seem to be drifting away from supporting their country’s fascist theocracy. The internet seems to be changing human brains for the worse, will we snap out of it, or is this the new normal? Nick’s on the Oscar beat, and while it was a good film, does “Joker” deserve to be nom-nomming so many noms? Ricky Gervais roasted Hollywood in the golden globes and it was glorious (you need to watch it!) Can you say controversial things if you’re merely quoting the ignorance of the past? Find out! Also this week, Baby Bernie, Bob Hoskins regrets, Spiderman comparisons, How New York city is the place to catch UFO’s and Rick enjoys himself to death. Edition 125: Disney’s Cute Generator
Hello! This week following the horrific scenario that played out where cops killed innocent people trying to save some possessions, Nick lends his expertise as a package delivery guy on what to do: Just let the thieves have it. What were the California missions? Behold! our elementary school level education about them and why they ought to be torn down! This just in: Native Americans didn’t have a good time. Impeachment happened, and nothing of relevance has changed. We catch back up on “The Mandalorian,” and why Baby Yoda is the ultimate creation to have been produced by Disney’s cute generator. Edition 124: To The Chunk Yard
Greetings once again modest listeners! This week, We remember swimming through the avalanche of AOL disks in the 90’s. Speaking of crappy 90’s things, how bout that Godzilla remake, huh? Luckily Japan put a fitting end to that monstrosity. Onto more important things: Joe Biden’s leg hair, and how it behaves when children sit in his lap. Chris gives the long awaited sequel “Shenmue 3” a fairly thorough review (so much garlic). Black Friday is becoming more and more of a dud as the years progress, so we discuss what sweet shopping we personally did! Also this week, Retirement fears with millennials! more Hamilton! Edition 123: Fat Relativity
Welcome! In this Edition, Rick returns! But that doesn’t help with the 2nd tier gear. The cyber truck is… something. We also take a look at the conspiracy surrounding the window breaking “mistake” at the unveil. We send “OK boomer” off to the great meme beyond, it barely had a chance to live. Is belief in science actually a matter of faith? Kind of, but not really… we debate the concept. Nick reviews the first couple episodes of the new show “The Mandalorian” on Disney +. Also, why did renaissance men seem so much more educated than we are in modern times? Some of these dudes were speaking 3 languages or more when in their teens! Additionally: Gushing about Hamilton, Koalas are dumb and destined for extinction (but not that way mother nature, you cruel cruel thing), An SNES kid recalls his Genesis jealousy, and dat moon level music doe! All these things and more in this edition! Text/voicemail: +1(916)741-2206 E-Mail: modestpodcast@gmail.com

Edition 122: I Hate Balogna
Hey folks! It’s Veteran’s day, and Rick is the only one who decided to take the day off. That guy… Anyway, we’re here to help celebrate the best intentions of our brave men and women!… By talking about movies and video games! Nick reviews the new “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” Reboot, and also has some thoughts about Kojima’s unique experience “Death Stranding.” It’s pretty neat to see an offbeat AAA title as of late since studios are unwilling to invest in big games that aren’t sure fire successes. A new “Ghost Busters” film was announced, but too little too freaking late guys — let’s blame Bill Murray for that one. Disney + has made its splash and the splintering of streaming entertainment continues! To all you harebrained studios thinking you can recapture the magic of Netflix’s glory days: Knock it off! Ain’t gonna happen! Also this week, Youtube exercises it’s prerogative, HBO pays half a billion for foulmouthed children and we actually talk about politics for a bit like the old days. All these things and more in this weeks edition! Text/voicemail: +1(916)741-2206 E-Mail: modestpodcast@gmail.com

Edition 121: Milk The Tiger
Welcome one and all! This week, there was a huge blow to violent extremists when ol’ al-Baghdadi was finally taken down. Media coverage was as divided as ever (even amongst us). Also, The World Series: boos, boobs and boo-urns. Nick reviews the new Watchmen series, Google claims quantum supremacy and the deluge of imaginative possibilities that news could lead to (namely instantaneous robot assassin genocide of humanity). In addition: what 90’s events inspired an entire generation of furries? 4k hits its stride, Joker becomes best selling R-Rated film without the help of China, and maybe too much Duke Nukem. All these topics and many more in this weeks edition! Text/voicemail: +1(916)741-2206 E-Mail: modestpodcast@gmail.com

Local laws are going into effect that address gig economy workers, but they may have negative repercussions for freelance journalists. On the topic of gig economy workers, the exploitation continues. Rick and Chris give advice on who can still benefit from driving for a ride sharing service. In addition: More China gossip, we eat our words regarding the seemingly crazy Tom Delonge, We celebrate our international listeners, and Chris has a wish for you and your summer vacation. All these topics and more in this weeks edition! Text/voicemail: +1(916)741-2206 E-Mail: modestpodcast@gmail.com
