In the most recent edition of The MoCo Show, Alex is joined by Michelle Katz. They open the show by discussing the Thai food MoCo Eats tournament, and how strong some people’s opinions are. Alex shares a local restaurant owner’s take on authenticity in terms of ethnic food as it pertains to the general public. Michelle shares some information about Mazza Gallerie closing down and being sold as a foreclosure. Alex talks about a local MoCo resident athlete who weighed in on the Big 10 postponing sports for the year. Alex talks about local restaurants temporarily closing, and other more permanent closings. Michelle provides her thoughts on the private school debate as it relates to reopening, as well as “Shop Maryland Tax Free Week” as Alex clarifies what that actually means. Alex talks about Julia Louis-Dreyfus growing up in MoCo, as well as The Real Housewives of Potomac. Ep. 98 - (S2E29) COVID Updates, New Districts, and Sub Preferances
In this edition of The MoCo Show, Alex is joined by Michelle to discuss this weeks news and updates. Michelle and Alex discuss registering to vote and bond over some pro-voting concerts put on in the area back when they were in High School. Alex provides some updates on COVID-19 numbers and news, and reminisces on some old shops and stores they used to frequent in MoCo. Alex and Michelle talk about the new 10 PM law that prohibits the sale of alcohol after 10 PM, as well as some other new sanctions in response to the virus. There has been discussion of adding new districts to the area that would allow for more representation at the county council level.
