TMS_S2E31 | Religion Poisons Everything
The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E31 Show Notes: Hot Take(s): General Motors and Fiat Chrysler will be forced to consolidate their assests and merge under one parent company.  Main segment: There are many fallacies upon which religion is built. I will cover a few of those fallacies in this episode. Throughout history, there has been more bloodshed in the name of religion than any other philosophical worldview. Now, this is not to say that religion is the principal cause of wars and conflicts. The fact is, most wars are economic and political in nature. Even so, as a philosophical worldview, religion has been employed as a weapon of destruction and oppression since its inception. Religion has been the single greatest source of injustice, tyranny, and violence. TMS_S2E27 | Start with Action
The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E27 Show Notes:In this episode, Josiah discusses the importance of taking action as it relates to success. Taking action is the only way to find out what you're good at and sharpen those skills. If you are struggling with converting an idea into actionable strategies, then there is only one way to remedy your situation. The antidote for inaction is action. Yes, it is that simple. Demonstrating excellence over mediocre behavior is tied to discipline, which means giving yourself a command and following it. Every day, each of us is faced with making one of two decisions. Both decisions will set in motion a chain of events that will invariably determine the level of success we enjoy in life. The first decision centers on wasting time and getting bogged down by distractions. The second decision involves working on becoming the best version of you through consistent practice and application of a success initiative.Whatever you do, make taking action a habit—make it your business to infuse every facet of your existence with action—intelligent action. Remember, you are the only person who can control your future and elevate your life to the level you know within yourself you can take it.Source(s) for this episode: "Start with Action" by Josiah Samuel Harry. TMS_S2E23 | How Facebook Manipulates Public Opinion
The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E23 Show Notes:In this episode, Josiah discusses why Facebook's decision to partner with CNN, Fox News, and other media companies to produce news-worthy content and original shows is, in essence, nothing more than posturing and positioning by Facebook to gain new market share. How does partnering with media conglomerates that report on fake news and disseminate misleading and propaganda-driven headlines and stories address the problem of fake news? Facebook's attempt to rebrand and revive its fledgling video on demand service, Watch, is just another avenue for Facebook to mine and collect the metadata of its users in order to share and sell the collected information to foreign companies and governments. TMS_S2E20 | How the "Thank God It's Friday" Mindset Could Be Hurting You
The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E20 Show Notes:In this episode, Josiah discusses the importance of mining value from each day of the week in order to win. Too many people are using Fridays and the Weekends to escape from their reality, when what they really ought to be doing is maximizing the opportunities that exist in those days to change their lives and their family tree. There are lots of people who say they want to win, but their actions betray them—their ambitions do not align with their actions. It is impossible to win if you are always looking forward to the next weekend break, or vacation break, or days off. You will not experience life's ultimate pleasures if you have a "days off" mentality. Don’t cheer for the weekend. Celebrate the opportunity to become the best version of you every day.  Thank you for making The Mindfullness Show a part of your weekday listening experience. TMS_S2E15 | The NBA, Like the NFL, Operates on a Plantation Business Model
The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E15 Show Notes:Both the NFL and NBA's anthem policies were adopted by white people for white people as a way to maintain America's status quo of not regarding blacks as full citizens and also to punish blacks whenever they challenge symbols of white supremacy. The NFL and NBA's operational business model are more similar than different in that whites occupy most of the semi-permanent high-paying positions, while blacks are clustered at the bottom. The primary difference between the NFL and NBA is that the NBA is more culturally competent and knows how to placate its labor force with the right incentives so as to keep them in line.
