#13 Comcast Service
I’m no longer a Comcast TV/Internet customer. I put an end to our 17 year relationship a little over an hour ago. In my opinion based on my experience, Comcast use to be a company that offered a great service. I subscribed to digital cable TV and high speed internet. Five years ago i was moving to another address so i contacted Comcast and told them i needed to transfer my service to the new address. I’m talking with the lady from customer service on the phone, she can’t find my account by my current address information. Once again she asks for the name on the account and phone number. She finds my moms account by her address which my mom and i have the same last name. About 15 minutes later she says ok everything is taken care of your service has now been moved to the new address, Thank you for being a Comcast customer blah blah and so on. I move into my new address and the cable TV is working fine and internet is great. A day or two later I’m talking to my mom on the phone and she is telling me that her TV isn’t working so i figured out what happened. Instead of transferring my service she canceled mine and moved my moms to my new address. I call customer service and I’m nice and explain what happened because anyone can make a mistake, so they turn my moms service back on and everyone is happy, Blah Blah, you know the story. Well everything is good for a while but I noticed one day that my cable TV isn’t working. I checked my digital cable box and it’s been fried. At the time i wasn’t watching too much TV so it didn’t bother me. One day when i had some free time i jump in my truck and take my digital box down to the Comcast service center. I turn my box in to them and told them i wanted to cancel my cable TV, i didn’t want any TV service and Blah Blah again you know the rest of the story. At that time my bill was 150 dollars a month for TV and Internet. I had direct billing and each month they would automatically take it out of my banking account. I noticed my bill went down to like 129.00 a month. Everything is good for a while blah blah, At the same time I’m think well 129 dollars is a lot for internet but i didn’t think much off it. A few more months slip by and I’m coming in from work one day and theres this box on my porch. On the box it says here is the equipment that you ordered. I don’t know what the hell it is so i open the box and it’s from Comcast. A little black box, some wires and connectors. It an adapter
