Blockers!

Blockers are a very real problem, and for the searching soul that has been stopped by pride, it spells disaster. Pride will convince you that you are right, when you know you are wrong. Pride will continue running when the vehicle has already run out of gas, and there's no good sensible reason why it should still be running. Pride is the perfect excuse for every situation. Pride is the lazy teacher who would rather see their kids happy than see them educated. Pride is the father or mother who won't bring themselves to seek their child's forgiveness. Pride is the father or mother who won't bring themselves to admitting they were wrong, when they know they were. Pride is a moving target and a distraction; it's the shiniest object in the box, and it is evasive in these ways. Pride can be a coping mechanism, but it's more of a self-preservation system. Pride seeks for total absolution, ignoring what was done wrong. Pride compares what was done wrong to the wrong of others, dismissing itself. Pride points to others' faults and failures, saying, "You think you should be looking over there instead." Pride is insistent in saying, "I shouldn't have to change." Pride is a very easy thing to install and accept, but once it's there, it is almost impossible to remove. Learn what you need to do to remove this one from your life.
