Blockers are a very real problem, and for the searching soul that has been stopped by pride, it spells disaster. Pride will convince you that you are right, when you know you are wrong. Pride will continue running when the vehicle has already run out of gas, and there’s no good sensible reason why it should still be running. Pride is the perfect excuse for every situation. Pride is the lazy teacher who would rather see their kids happy than see them educated. Pride is the father or mother who won’t bring themselves to seek their child’s forgiveness. Pride is the father or mother who won’t bring themselves to admitting they were wrong, when they know they were. Pride is a moving target and a distraction; it’s the shiniest object in the box, and it is evasive in these ways. Pride can be a coping mechanism, but it’s more of a self-preservation system. Pride seeks for total absolution, ignoring what was done wrong. Pride compares what was done wrong to the wrong of others, dismissing itself. Pride points to others’ faults and failures, saying, “You think you should be looking over there instead.” Pride is insistent in saying, “I shouldn’t have to change.” Pride is a very easy thing to install and accept, but once it’s there, it is almost impossible to remove. Learn what you need to do to remove this one from your life.

Hope in the Suffering
Episode Notes Visit: https://blog.mattborja.com/episodes/hope-in-the-suffering/ Summary The purpose and authority for the Show is not only in the sharing of the life struggles and sufferings of everyday people like you and me, but to also comfort those in trouble, by the same comfort wherewith we ourselves are also comforted in all our tribulation, by the God of all comfort. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Apart from the tribulation, there is no comfort. Resources Leanna Loves – Episode 2: Why I Love Christian Music Leanna Crawford – Truth I’m Standing On (Official Music Video)

The Purpose of Trials
Diving into my life verse (Psalms 107:23-24) to look at the purpose of trials and the true character of God, bringing us to a place we don't want to be, to bring us through to a place we could never dream. Notes: "For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." (Hebrews 2:18) @ 30:00

Enlarged in Distress
The way to true fulfillment in life must needs pass through the door of affliction and suffering. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. — Psalms 4:1

⚠️ Caution: This episode contains explicit content. In this episode, we look at multiple examples of injustices which we as true, living Christians, will endure; having already been warned in advanced of, should we actually intend to live for Him. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. — 2 Timothy 3:12 Special observations: God demands an offering for Job's miserable comforters who failed to say the things that were right to say during Job's fiery trial. Furthermore, God affirms Job's righteousness, even though Job was being afflicted in this way. There are a lot of Christians who are in support of Christianity, but are not living it. Our persecution and affliction is a manifestation of true Christianity. Life in prison need not come with iron bars. We are unjustly condemned, even of our own acquaintances. All of Joseph's dreams, for which he was imprisoned, came true, in spite of the evil that befell him. The more you control, the less God will. **Be sure to stick around afterwards for some bonus content 🙃

Finding Our Fulfillment In God's Purpose
Text: 1 Corinthians 3:1-7 To find our purpose and fulfillment God has for our lives, we take deeper look at the issues adversely affecting the body of Christ today, as they have for so many centuries.

Grace to Help in Time of Need
In this episode, we look at two critical aspects of any fiery trial, with real world examples and a real world solution. This is the reality of relationships, practicality of personship, and hope of every hurting. This is where healing needs to start and end. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Heb. 12:3)

God's Master Plan
Dear friend, From the beginning of time, God had a master plan for the human race: to make us become fellowheirs, members of the body of Christ, and partakers of the promise of the Holy Spirit in Christ by the gospel; in truth, children. However, we of our own accord—and for our own selfish reasons—have moved mountains, desperately trying to evade this impending reality. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. True reconciliation with God is as follows: You must come to terms with the realization that at the singular point in time and day wherein you offended (transgressed) the law of God—whether it had been in lying, or stealing, committing adultery or serving other gods; to name only a few written ones—you are considered to be guilty of the entire law and of sin.Upon realizing that you have sinned against Him who is extolled and honoured by other excellent majesties as the King of heaven—all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: able to abase those that walk in pride—the only appropriate course of action from this moment forward is to bow in repentance toward God from your sins, praying Him to forgive you of all—no matter how many or how few; how large or how small; how often or how infrequent, even as a one-time occurrence—and acknowledge the payment made on your behalf for the penalty prescribed for sin which is death. This payment was made by His own Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins according to the scriptures; and was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures; witnessed by well over five hundred eyewitnesses, of whom many were still alive at the time of the recordation of this notable event in history. In this moment of true repentance and worship toward God, you must call upon Him to save you; and save you He will. For the rich and the poor, the young and the old, the famous and the unsung, the weak and the strong, and everyone in between, the following prayer summarizes everything we’ve covered: Lord Jesus (God),I realize I have sinned against you and that the penalty for my sin is death. However, I also understand and believe that you came to this earth to die in my place so that I could be set free. Please forgive me for all my sins; come into my heart, and save my soul.I give my life into your hands now, and declare you to be my Lord and my God.In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Consider When Building Your Support Group

How Do We Cope With Everything?
How do we cope with everything going on in our world today? There are some things we can do, but most things we cannot. But whatever we find ourselves able to do, know that it alone will not be enough. Biblical patterns and principles applied to our life will reasonably yield similar results. We must choose to worship in spite of what we are going through. We will find our search for fulfillment ends, where we allow God to begin.

"Broken By Design"
If what you are struggling with is stealing your joy, then it deserves every bit of attention as the person who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Your prayer request matters because YOU matter. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16) Bonus: Sometimes our brokenness and our ability to break is "by design" (mine included). God is not just "able" to pick up the broken pieces of your life: He does!

You Are Who God Says You Are
