Louisville Beer 54 – LCBW Interviews
It's come to this, another interview show. We've been busy, okay!?!? We talked to several people waiting in the line for Bo & Luke at Against the Grain, and then visited the 1st Annual ValuMarket Amateur Beer Cheese Festival at BBC Taproom. We talked to some entrants about what makes their beer cheese the best, and then score an EXCLUSIVE interview with the winner, Mr. Stephen Smith, who won in both the People's Choice AND came in 1st place as voted by the esteemed panel of judges. Happy #LCBW2014, you all! Did we mention, that as a bonus, we've included Solid Rock'it Boosters' wonderful cover of Waylon Jennings'"Good Ol' Boys" from their gig at The Bo & Luke Release Party. It truly beats all you ever saw.

Louisville Beer 51 – 51: Akasha Brewing
Wurth, Scott and guest co-host Ryan Hammel had a nice little talk with Rick Stidham and Matt from Louisville's soon to be open brewery, Akasha Brewing (formerly Muse Brewing). Good thing they happened to be in a podcast studio and happened to record it, otherwise there wouldn't be a show this week. Plenty of talk about bright tanks, square footage, tater tots, brewhouse efficiency, and merkins. Plenty of merkin talk. Too much? You be the judge. Thanks for listening!
80 minutes | Aug 19, 2014
Louisville Beer 50 – Brad Williams In Studio
Mr. Williams, of Liquor Barn fame and board member at the Zoo drops by to talk Brew at the Zoo. He also happened to have a bottle of 27 year old bourbon in his car. Lucky us! The first time bourbon has been consumed on the podcast, AND the first time I've ever had liquid that old. Did I mention mega-star (and Brad's twin) Todd Pharris steps in to guest co-host? Well, he did. And was it ever magical.

Louisville Beer 44 – Joel Halbleib from BBC
For the second week in a row, we are King-less, but our guest co-host Grant Johnson steps in and does a bangup job subbing for John King. Joel Halbleib drops by bearing Bourbon Ale fresh off the bottling line and talks about what to expect from BBC Production (Clay and Main). Grant also brings in a new segment, "Quick Draw with Grant" and gets plenty of laughter and less "What is your favorite nut?" questions. Is this the end for John King? Probably not, but tune in to make your own call. Enough about John King...tune in to hear Joel Halbleib and his plans for world domination with Bluegrass Brewing Company. Plus Cafe Lou Lou in the Highlands steps in for sponsorship (read: free pizza and cheese sticks!!!). We'll take it!

Louisville Beer 43 – Todd From Paducah Beer Werks
With John King out of the way, we get a whole episode without the singing of bad 80s music. It was glorious. Jessy Harding of Against the Grain sat in with us again and helped us take care of business. The business, of course, was interviewing Paducah Kentucky's first brewery since Prohibition, Paducah Beer Werks. Owner/Brewer Todd Blume skyped in all the way from Western Kentucky (or is it Central KY, Jessy??) to let us in on the details of this new Kentucky brewery in Wurth's hometown. Also, Scott Lykins sits down with Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisan Ales while he was down at Against the Grain brewing some beers.
