The Trailblazer of Coaching feat. Kendall Summer-Hawk
This week on the show, I get to share with you a conversation I had with a true-blue industry trailblazer - Kendall SummerHawk.   Kendall is a pioneer in the women’s entrepreneurial movement who began working as a coach in 2002 - aka a VERY different business landscape to coaches starting out today!  Her mission is to put the power of making money into every woman’s hands.  She is the creator of the Sacred Money Archetypes model, and made her name as an expert in helping women unlock both financial and business success for themselves, by letting go of past money blocks in order to experience deep, soul level breakthroughs in claiming their worth.  She has since evolved her business to focus on certified coach trainings.   In myself and Kendall’s chat, we cover:  The first steps she took towards coaching many moons ago Why she describes her first year in business as “the year of fear and tears” Filing for divorce and burning her business boats in one week  The major disadvantage she sees entrepreneurs facing today  How she found her coaching sweet spot of women and money Why pricing is so critical in a business   The Sacred Money Archetypes and how she created them How she transitioned to a certification program model What she sees as the biggest blocks female entrepreneurs have when it comes to increasing their incomes  The mistake so many of us make of “crawling into our clients’ wallets” (OMG this is powerful!!) Her own personal practices when it comes to creating abundance in her business Why she believes coaching is a great business model  The one thing you can do to immediately increase abundance in your business As you’ll hear, Kendall is a magnetic storyteller and I absolutely adored speaking with her.    To find out more about Kendall, visit her website at kendallsummerhawk.com or follow her on Instagram at @kendallsummerhawk. To access her Sacred Money Archetypes Quiz, go to: www.sacredmoneyarchetypes.com/quiz/ Coming up soon is my FREE 3-day personal brand experience, called the SHOWUP.  From Wednesday 29th - Friday 31st March, I’ll step you through the three key pillars to making this happen:  Day 1 - STRATEGY Day 2 - MINDSET Day 3 - CONTENT Go to bolddarling.com/showup to register. 5 Quick Hacks To Boost Your Personal Brand - right now!
When I started my first business 11 years ago, I had zero profile, zero marketing budget… and zero business experience.  The one thing I did have was me - so I set about building my brand in order to build the brand of the business.   Thankfully, my plan worked.  Focusing on my personal brand for the last decade has changed my life.  That focus enabled me to build an awardwinning first business (with absolutely no marketing budget), publish four books, host a podcast for the last four years, and build a second business that now enables me to live anywhere in the world.   On the way, I figured out a LOT: what was worth investing time in, and what was a spectacular waste of time.  I navigated all the mindset hurdles - self-doubt, imposter syndrome.. You name it, I’ve had it.  And, eventually, I created my own model for what an effective personal brand looks like. Growing your personal brand is never a bad idea.  Being more visible enables more of your dream customers to find your business, helps them build trust in you and makes them a hell of a lot more likely to buy from you. Personal brands are not solely the domain of influencers and coaches.  Absolutely not.  Every business model will benefit from the increased profile of its founder.  Remember: people connect with people, not brands - and the halo effect of a high profile founder is invaluable. In today’s episode, I share five quick hacks that will help you boost your personal brand… right now.  Get ready to hear my absolute bugbears when it comes to personal branding, and some pretty direct mentoring advice!!  I kept thinking of more tips as I recorded this episode.  I’m also inviting you to come behind the curtains of how to build and amplify your personal brand with a three-day high octane, high value experience.  It’s called the SHOWUP.  And in it, I’ll be sharing the most nuggety, hard-won lessons I’ve had in this space. From Wednesday 22nd - Friday 24th March, I’ll step you through the three key pillars to making this happen:  Day 1 - STRATEGY Day 2 - MINDSET Day 3 - CONTENT The SHOWUP will be one of the most potent three days of your business life.  The “rate card” investment for it SHOULD be at least $397…However I know how important this training is, and I want as many business owners as possible to experience this. So I’m offering it for…….. FREE.  Yep, absolutely no payment required from you.  What I DO ask is that you show up for yourself during the experience.   Go to bolddarling.com/showup to register. How I’m managing my business from here, including the surprise upside I hadn’t factored The visa and tax logistics  How the kids are adjusting to the move  The one thing that has been my fuel in navigating all this change I so hope you enjoy this episode, and that it maybe gives you some extra oomph in making your own big goals happen. ;-) I also mention in this episode my new Power Month mentoring offer - you and me for one high-octane month!  To get the info, just DM “Power Month” to me on Instagram. The Hoffman Process - What It Is, What I Learned & How It Changed My Life and Business
In this solo episode, I share my experience of going through The Hoffman Process recently. I wasn’t planning on doing an episode on this, however there were a LOT of requests for me to talk more about it.  So here we are! The Hoffman Process was created by US psychotherapist Bob Hoffman 55 years ago and is a week-long residential and personal growth retreat that helps participants identify negative behaviours, moods, and ways of thinking that developed unconsciously and were conditioned in childhood. As I share in this episode, I first heard about it it 2020 and 2022 was the year I committed to completing the Process. I share my personal experience of the Process, the greatest realisations I had during it, how it has changed my life and business, the tools I continue to use afterwards, and whether or not I would recommend it.   To find out more about The Hoffman Process, visit hoffmanprocess.com.au, and you can have a free phone consultation with a facilitator to see if the Process is right for you. The Flipside Of A Personal Brand Business with Sarah Akwisombe
Building a business from your personal brand is the strategy of choice for many entrepreneurs - and can be a wildly successful one.  Having a personal relationship with your community enables you to build incredible trust and rapport with them, which smoothes the way for easeful sales and marketing. However the flipside of a personal brand business is not often discussed - and my guest on the show today goes there.  Sarah Akwisombe is the Sunday Times bestseller of “The Money Is Coming” and a UK entrepreneur who built an incredibly successful and profitable online business offering business training.  In 2020, the wheels came off every area of her life and business when she was, in effect, cancelled.   What ensued was a period of intense pain, then healing.  On the other side of the fire, Sarah reflects with me on her career to date, the experience of almost losing everything, and her life, business and family now.   This was a profoundly touching and moving interview, and I am deeply grateful to Sarah for sharing such rawness with listeners.  You can find Sarah at sarahakwisombe.com or on Instagram at @sarahakwisombe.  Her streetwear store is at notthatdeepstore.com or @notthatdeepstore.  Remember to follow @lorrainemurphymentor on Instagram.  Now go… and be bold, darling!
