Episode 11 | What is truth?
Our eleventh episode features a conversation with Ellis Potter. Ellis visited The Big Breakfast (our in-person events) in 2018, and this is his first time on the podcast. Clive and Ellis explore how we understand what truth is. This discussion leads to an further exploration of how it relates to our identity and how we trust each other and God. Ellis Potter is a Pastor, speaker, counselor, and teacher. He has lectured to Christian and secular groups worldwide on cutting edge topics from authority and epistemology, to the relevance of art and culture in Christianity, and comparative worldviews. Raised in the US, but spending most of his adult life in Europe, Potter converted from Zen Buddhism to Christianity after life altering encounters with Dr. Francis Schaeffer in the ‘70s. For the next 18 years, he served at the L’Abri Fellowship in Switzerland and then for 10 years as pastor of the Basel Christian Fellowship. He now lives and works as a missionary in Basel with his organization, the Eastern Europe Renewal (EER). http://ellis-potter.com The post Episode 11 | What is truth? appeared first on Kirkliston Community Church.

Episode 10 | Why does ministry matter?
The Little Breakfast Podcast returns as an imperfect pastor meets an imperfect pastor meet to talk about ministry. Clive talk about ministry, why it matters and, of course, breakfast with pastor and lecturer Zack Eswine. “I’ve served in pastoral ministry for over twenty-five years, as a pastor, professor, and global communicator. But I come from a broken family. I’ve had to come to terms with anxiety and depression. I’ve wrestled with doubt. Faith has been hard fought for. Like all of us, I have an ongoing need to learn. Jesus has become lovely to me.” Zack Eswine, PhD is the lead pastor at Riverside Church in Webster Groves, Missouri, and the director of homiletics at Covenant Theological Seminary. Zack and his wife, Jessica live in St. Louis, Missouri, with their three children.
