What type of software should I use for audio and video for my online personal training website?
Welcome to your fitness marketing questions answered, a podcast where you can listen to my mistakes so hopefully you won't waste your time and money. This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. What type of software should I use my audio and video for my online personal training website? One product that I use and would really recommend for your audio and video needs is called Camtasia, I am actually using Camtasia right now for my podcast. For my podcast, I am recording with my cell phone and my Podbean app. Once recorded, I am taking that file and emailing it to myself and using Camtasia to make the edits. After all edits are completed, the file is exported into an MP4 and then upload to my podcast and blog. Camtasia is really easy to use and if you want to get in-depth with it you can make really cool videos. I recommend that you give it a try and I believe there's like a 15 or 30 day free trial that you can use. What I really like about Camtasia is: You can create intros and have different transitions You can have a title on the lower third of the video that shows the exercise name You can create an outro that says go to my website for more information All you have to do is choose an option and drag it onto the screen and change the text and you’re done. You can also zoom in and perform any other typical action that you get with other video editing software but I have found this one really easy to use. You can click the link to learn more about Camtasia. I would just like to say thank you for listening to this question and if you have any other questions

My goal for 2017: My Online Personal Trainer Life: Episode 2
This is Casey Miller and welcome to my personal trainer life episode two. So I would just like to start by saying I figured out what my goal is for 2017 and that is to learn how to speak. I say that is because I just wasted about 45 minutes of trying to answer questions for thebestfitness.com, and this website fitnessmarketingthatworks.com. So what I traditionally do is take questions from online or from people and I try to answer them the best that I can without writing anything down and I have learned that some days that works and other days it's pretty sh$ty. Like I said, I just wasted about 45 minutes trying to answer four questions and that leads me to my goal for 2017 is learning how to speak properly and I guess if we look at it, everyone needs to learn how to speak and communicate more effectively and if you would like to listen to me mess up and make a rant about how poorly I speak, listen to this podcast.

Do I need to use videos for my online personal training program?
This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. Do I need to use videos for my online personal training program? I don't think you need to use videos for your online personal training program but it just depends on how your program is set up. You may want to use videos to show clients how to perform certain exercises. Using videos just depends on your program.  If you have a nutritional program you might not need videos and you can just use audio or some type of presentation to get your message across. For example, my current online training program doesn't use exercise videos but I do use pictures that I took from my videos and on typed out descriptions. If my customers really wanted the videos they could go to my YouTube channel watch  the videos. If you are going to use videos, you could shoot the video of you doing an exercise and then voice over your demonstration with the instructions or you could just talk while performing the exercise. I would just like to say thank you for listening to this question and if you have any other questions yourself, please send an email to casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and I will do the best I can to get those answered for you. If you know anybody that could benefit from this podcast, or my website, please share this with them and send them my way. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed.

Do I need a website to become an online personal trainer?
This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. Do I need a website to become an online personal trainer? This is a really good question. Typically, I would say yes, you need a website to be an online personal trainer just because there's so much that goes into your website and your website can bring you so much traffic later down the road that I really think that you have to have it. But if you're just starting out. I think you could probably get away with just using a Facebook page and then creating a program that you could email those clients. As for payments, you could just use PayPal. You may run into payment issues later down the road if you have a content protected area on your new website that you created but if you use a content protected plugin they usually have a simple payment integration in place and the ones that I have used don't use PayPal. Now back to the question, do you need a website to become an online personal trainer, I think so but starting out I think you can get away with a Facebook page and you can probably take that money that you will have spent on your website and throw that into some targeted ads on Facebook to help you build up some clientele and income. When I first started online personal training, I would have never of thought that you wouldn't need a website but there is now so many different platforms that you could use and I am sure they would work. If you have done this, please send me an email and let me know what your experience has been without having a website as I am sure we would all be interested in learning more.

How long will it take before I can start making money being an online personal trainer?
This is Casey Miller with fitness marketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. How long will it take before I can start making money being an online personal trainer? Making money as an online personal trainer is a long term process. It could take you anywhere to five years before you start getting the amount of clients that you want to make the amount of money that you would like. It doesn't have to take that long. Yet some people can become very profitable in a short period of time, but these people are able to sell their product. These people are the very skillful and can sell rocks to anybody, not everybody can do that. I don't think that I am that skilled but I am trying. So, unless you are just that person that can talk to anybody and sell anybody anything the chances of you making money very quickly are probably slim to none. But if you are already in the fitness business you know your skills, strengths and weaknesses with selling and know how hard it can be to pick up new clients. Just remember, is going to take time, so if you want to start an online training business, map it out for the next five years. Maybe your first goal is to sell 10 people your program and to build 100 new backlinks. The whole process is going to take time and yes you can make money but patient because it's not going to happen overnight. For some people it might but those people have what it takes personality wise, programming wise and marketing wise.

Can I make money being an online personal trainer?
This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. Can I make money being an online personal trainer? Yes, yes you can make money being an online personal trainer, but it takes time and skill and what I mean by time is it could take you, 1-5 years to finally get noticed as an online personal trainer. The whole time factor really depends on you and how much money you have to spend on marketing. If you are looking at a traditional type of marketing plan, which would be more SEO related, then yes it is going to take you know 6 months to 5 years to get noticed by the large search engines and hopefully be placed number one for your keywords or on the first page of Google. Hopefully then you will have enough traffic brought to your website by those keywords and that will generate income for you. If you are starting out and have money to market your website, then your chances of making some money initially may be a little bit higher as long everything is set in place, which means you have a good website, good ads and you can convert those as into sales. Those are all things that are going to take place in order for you to get new customers. Now, you will also need to have some type of skill in order for these potential customers to purchase your program. If you are a very boring trainer and you have no personality it will be hard to get people to like you, even if you have the best program in the world. You must have something that is unique and want to make people listen and follow you. Try not to be boring but don't try and be someone you are not as people will notice. So, can you make money training online, yes you can but is not going to be as easy and as for that Facebook ad you saw was probably lying to you because most likely you are not going to be able to generate 400 leads in three days. Maybe one person did out of a thousand but it's not typical. I would just like to say thank you for listening to this question and if you have any other questions yourself, please send an email to casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and I will

How do I get into online personal training?
This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com and here is your question of the day. How do I get into online personal training? Starting an online personal training business is not that difficult, but I recommend before you even pick your domain name that you know what your niche is going to be from the start. If not, what is going to happen and what I have found was that you will keep changing things along the way and making changes is not a bad thing. But let's just say for example you start with an online personal training business for CrossFit athletes and you go ahead and find the domain name on "buildabetterfrossfitathlete" and three months down the road you decide I really don't want to work on with those CrossFit athletes anymore and I want to focus more on nutrition for obese individuals. All that work that you just put into creating your website, content promotion and building backlinks are going to be worthless because you have to pick up a new domain name and then do all that work all over again. I suggest the first thing that you do is choose your niche and or narrow it down to 3 to 5 options and really think about one that you could see yourself doing for years down the road. Once you have chosen that niche, find out more information about it and what topics you really want to write or talk about. Next, pick a domain name, find web hosting and a web template. So, first complete these first couple of steps and continue reading and listening to this podcast to find out more on starting your online personal training website. Just remember that this is a long term process and it may take 5-10 years to get you where you want to be.

My Online Personal Trainer Life: Episode 1
Welcome to My Online Personal Trainer Life: Episode 1. This is just another podcast that I will be doing probably once every week or two on how my online personal training business is going. I will be covering some SEO or search engine optimization, any new backlinks that I have received, how my rankings are going and any other new things that are going on at the moment. So, for episode number 1, I want to discuss my current rankings and what I have been doing to improve my overall rankings in order to move up to the first page of Google. Right now my domain authority according to Moz.com is 28 but I have been able to receive a couple new backlinks from nextavenue.org and mnn.com (mothernaturenetwork). Nextavenue.org has a domain authority of 78 and mnn.com has a domain authority of 86. This scores are very high and should really boost my domain authority in the coming months. Right now some of you might be wondering what is domain authority and what does it have to do with my website and honesty, I don’t believe it really plays a role in your websites rankings but what happens is when Google takes these backlinks into consideration they will notice that these websites pointing back to yours are very credible websites and they should benefit you more than a website that has a domain authority of 20. So basically, the higher the domain authority a website has, the higher that website should rank in Google. You can also look at another great resource ahrefs.com to find which and how many backlinks your website has and what keywords you’re ranking for. I really like ahrefs.com for backlinks because it’s up to date and you can even spy on your competitors to see who is linking to them and what their best keywords are. I will go over this more in a different podcast/blogpost. Right now, I have 63 referring domains and 1,800 keywords that are ranking in the top 100. This is just an estimation because

Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 11
Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 11 This is Casey Miller with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com. So the past couple days I put up my two blog post for my fitness question and answers on thebestfitness.com. I also completed one interview which I will get a back links from and tomorrow I will complete the article for women's health and fitness magazine. The following day I plan on recording 20 more fitness question and answers and hopefully that will go alright. Yesterday, I was able to get the most visitors I have had in one day that I can recall and that was 170. I know that may not seem like a lot but if you have a website of your own, you will probably noticed you only get around 10 visitors a day. I think I've actually heard that 90 or 95% of websites only receive 200 visitors a day or less. So I guess I'm doing something right, but there's always room for improvement. My goal for December, is to be getting around 500 visitors a day on thebestfitness.com, which comes out to about 15,000 visitors a month. Hopefully I can get there, if not I'll just keep pushing through until I can. Other than that, there hasn’t been anything new and I will let you know how everything turned out. If you have any questions please email me at casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com.

Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 10
Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 10 This is Casey Miller with Fitnessmarketingthatworks.com. I am just checking in with you guys and I am currently on my way to work. So what I got done from the last time that I spoke with, I got four blog posts posted which included podcast and videos. I did notice that these blog posts take longer to post as I have to transcribe the audio, get everything you looking decent and then transfer everything over the video. As these post are taking more time, I will just post 2 a day and try to complete 50 fitness question and answers a month. I also got asked if I could write an article I believe is for Women's Fitness and Health of Australia, so I will complete that this week. Hopefully that will get published and if it does I will let you guys know. That is all I completed as of today and I will continue working on posting my fitness question and answer blog post to the bestoffitness.com. Hopefully I will talk to you tomorrow and if you have any goals that you need to get done that you been not working on lately, it’s time to get your ass in gear and get them done. If you have any questions, please email me at casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com.

Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 9
Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 9 Welcome to fitnessmarketingthatworks.com, I am Casey Miller and I just wanted to fill you in on what I got done today. I got all 20 questions recorded on my podcast and hopefully I get those posted up tonight. I just wanted to let you guys know how that went and how long it took. I did all 20 questions and each is an average of three minutes and probably took about an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours. It didn't go too bad as I did everything on one take. I try not to worry about how each one went as I know they could always be better but I don’t have the time to make everything “perfect”. The main goal is just to answer questions and help people out so I’m not really worried if you hear background noises or my kids in the background. That’s just the way it is. I also got my fitness course updated a little bit. You can find that onlinefitnessthatworks.com. I changed the information into a video format and just made function a little bit better and it now works on mobile. That’s the real reason for my changes as everything is mobile these days and not so much desktop. So until next time I know you have some goals you know you need to get them done. Stay up and hour extra each night and get those done. If you have any questions, please email me at casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com.

Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 8
Online Personal Trainer Life: Day 8 Welcome back. This is Casey with fitnessmarketingthatworks.com. This is day eight, it’s been a couple days since I've checked in and I was going to do that last night but I was so exhausted as I go three hours of sleep, worked the night before and then watched my kids all day. I did get a couple things done online with my other website onlinefitnessthatworks.com and I did not get anything completed with thebestoffitness.com, so hoping to get started on that tonight. I’ve been pushing my fitness Q&A's back but I have a couple days left of the week to see if I can hit my goal. I’m not really sure if I can but I'll try and make adjustments for next week. I always find different things that I think that need to be fixed, so I kind of move towards those little bit instead of working on my actual goal for the week. Hopefully after this week I can focus more on my goal for the week and get that accomplished and move on to the next one. I will talk with you guys soon and let you know what I got completed. So until next time, get your ass in gear, get your work done and let's make it happen. If you have any questions please send them to casey@fitnessmarketingthatworks.com.
