I watched many Mega Church Pastors preach to empty seats this past week due to the coronavirus, I noticed how their messages lacks power and relevance. These same churches during “Spring” time will tell you to pray to God for a Car, God will deliver a business to you, God can fix your credit. However, today they are silent on God healing this nation. We can't be killed by the Coronavirus. I know, I know you've heard about Kevin Durant catching this virus and others. However, I know with 100% certain that we can not be killed. I mean the true Israelite's. The entire world knows who we are except us, the Americans a few European nations, but most of the world in 100% aware that we are the people of the book. The Scripture says the more they "Kill Them" the more they would multiply. That is so obvious, look at slavery, look at jim crow, look at the ghetto, look at police shootings, look at our poverty, the more we are afflicted the more we have grown. However, in this one particular case, I have decided to wait on the evidence. The same way many Americans say when a unarmed Black Man is shot and killed by the Police. This time we can all wait on the evidence. These are only the birth pains as Jesus mentioned about. The worst is yet to come and in our lifetimes "We Will See The Coming Of The Lord," every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. I was going to name this message, when giants fall. After ending my congressional bid that’s how I felt. Like I had fallen, though I wasn’t defeated at the polls I was defeated nonetheless. God gave me this message saying “Even in Defeat, Know that you are a Giant.” There’s been so many times in my life where I may have felt depressed, sadden, or unhappy. Yet there’s not too many times where I felt defeated. After a loss, it’s difficult to navigate your way back, God took me to the story of Samson, a great warrior who was defeated by his enemies. President Trump recently brought together several of the Top Business CEO’s from around the country. Many of which have pledge to assist the United States government during this coronavirus pandemic. In my opinion so far the President has done the best that he can. This crisis came out of no where for us all. It is an act of God. What can any man do against God? What can any man do against nature? This is a time where we need to come together a one people. We need more partnership and less partisanship. The Presidents success is our success and the Presidents failure is also our failure. As a nation we all together should be rooting for his success. In this time, I pray that the media can leave it’s bias and for once just report the news. Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera recently proposed Andrew Yang’s Economic plan to help American workers and families who are struggling amid the coronavirus. Recently, I mentioned on twitter that in my lifetime. I have seen now two administrations basically implement economic policies that are “Socialism” for the rich and “Capitalism” for everyone else. Now in all fairness the Federal Reserve is an independent agency. However, these heads of Government could abolish the FED or replace the chairman as someone who is more friendly to the American public at large instead of the folks whose only interest is the financial sector and Wall Street. I’m no progressive, mainly because my entire life I have experienced first hand Democrat liberal policies that have not work. However, in a time of a crisis, as a temporary solution, especially with the FED printing money for every other sector in America. This President has stood for truth since the very day that he announced and he continues to do so. What I said in response to the excellent super bowl ad by the President was “The Republican Party my whole life has ignored Black America. I recently read an article on Breitbart News written by Charlie Kirk. In this article Charlie explains how until the election of President Trump, the Black Community had been largely ignored by the Republican Party. He further explains how this blocks of votes do not need to be won by Republicans, but Republicans just need to lose less of them. In the case of President Trump for example in North Carolina, he didn’t win the Black Vote, but he won more than any other Republican had won against the Democrats, effectively losing less of them with 35%. I believe America is great when all of her is great. When the crime rate is lower in all neighborhoods, when the kids have great school institutions to attend in all neighborhoods, when their is opportunities in all communities and the beautification of the areas are nice nationwide. How many years in prison is enough? When someone does a crime and then does the time, legally they have successfully fulfilled their punishment for their offenses. However, in many sectors of America this is not the case. In some states with a felony conviction you can not rent an apartment, in many states with a felony convict you cannot own a gun, many jobs will not hire you with certain convictions on your record. Therefore, in most cases a person leaves prison after doing time for a crime unable to work legally, unable to protect themselves with a weapon legally, and unable to rent or own shelter legally. They might as well had left them in jail, because the ex-con is destined to go back to jail, given that legally they can’t do anything. This is a gross mishap we have made in American Civil society, we have to decide whether after someone has done their time, they’ve paid their debt or not. My bill proposes that upon release former prisoners have all of their rights restored and criminal records permanently sealed. If you want to hold them accountable for what they did in the past, then keep them in jail and never left them out, but letting them out is an indication that you are saying they have paid their debt to society. My proposal would let former prisoners enter back into society as freemen, not bound to return to prison. If elected to Congress I would propose federal legislation that supersede the states to allow all rights under the constitution fully restored to those formerly incarcerated and records permanently sealed except in the case of legal proceedings.
