Covid-19 the New Normal
Covid-19 is our reality, whether we like it or not. Today I had the opportunity to sit down with an ICU nurse who continues to help the world fight the virus despite having small kids at home. Nurse Lin and I dive deep into the realities of living and working through a pandemic of the likes we have never seen before. We hope that you take a moment to listen and learn from a frontline worker who puts her life on the line every day for every one of us.

Financial Literacy and the psychology of money in the Black community
James C Byers II spent the first half of his childhood in Queens, NY. At the age of 9, his family relocated to Washington DC. James was raised in a musical family and sharpened his skills in high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. After graduating, he attended North Carolina A&T (Aggie Pride!), where he earned a BS in Accounting. Upon graduating in 2003, he started his career in financial services as a branch manager with Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo). However, James' passion for helping people make well informed financial decisions led him to pursue the Licensed Financial Specialist role in 2005. After 17 years in the industry, James is still helping small businesses and families traverse the financially tumultuous road towards retirement. James has had the opportunity to learn from some of the sharpest minds in the financial services industry and takes the lifetime student approach to learning. His ability to connect with clients and their goals paired with his knack for making complex information digestible to any client is what people who work with him appreciate most about him. James has been married for 17 years. He and his amazing wife have two children; a young man of age 14 and a little lady of age 10. When he is not helping people plan for their financial futures, you may find James on the keyboard or the drums in a band, studying biblical history, or working on a project in his pursuit of an MBA in Financial Services, for which he is set to complete in the spring of 2021. He is passionate about what he does because he knows that there are many whose futures depend on it.Link with James Here: https://www.facebook.com/ByersWealthStrategies/Link with Darrian Here: darriandouglas.com
