It was a week full for Champions League surprises as Arsenal fell at home to Dortmund, a weak Milan side held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw, and Cristiano Ronaldo showed up to play.

The boys are back! Ku & Lu had taken an extended break after what was a long and busy summer for the boys but finally there were back where they belong to kickoff Season 3 of The Ku & Lu Show w/ travel sponsor CEO of ASCA Office Solutions, Anthony Sarno.

It was a week full of guessing games as we weren't quite sure what time we'd be on the air, who'd be on the show, which African country's anthems Boz would be playing, and whether we had been able to record the show.

We were fortunate enough to have some good friends in the studio this week as we were joined by Marrondinho and Rob Dupont to talk about all of the week's action. With AFCON 2013 going on and midweek Premier League games to dicuss, there wasn't any shortage of topics to argue about. We discussed AFCON in great length and why it doesn't seem to get any attention in North America.

We were back in the studio at our regular time slot of Noon/EST on Friday afternoon for the first time in the new year! It was quite a fun show as we discussed everything from Toronto FC's new coach Ryan Nelsen to the Africa Cup Of Nations with our African soccer expert Marrondinho.

We were finally back in the studio after the winter break for a new edition of The Ku & Lu Show. It was weird being in the studio on a Thursday afternoon, but as soon as we returned from Mexico, Boz was on his way there. We had a lot to catch up on with Toronto FC and the Canadian Men's National Team making some interesting and surprising moves. We also discussed the controversial FIFA awards...

We discuss Toronto FC`s new hire, Kevin Payne, as he becomes the club's new General Manager & President! Debate ensues as Ballon D'or nominees are announced, midweek EPL fixtures occur, and the possibility an extended Champions League floats around. Oh, and the boys celebrate the Toronto Argonauts winning the 100th Grey Cup!

The 'Beckham-era' of Major League Soccer is officially over! We couldn't help but reflect on Beckham's time in North America and the impact he had on the sport's reach in the continent. We also take a look at the UEFA Champions League & Europa League. Oh, and we saw one hell of a bicycle kick this week!

The boys discuss the MLS Playoffs but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's amazing bicycle kick overshadows anything happening in North America. FIFA announces this year's Puska Award nominees and International Friendlies stir up quite the debate. Also, the boys talk to Serie A commentator Marco Palmieri about life as a commentator covering Serie A!

The Canadian Soccer Association hires Tony Fonseca as their new Technical Director. We discuss the MLS playoff thriller that took place between the New York Red Bulls and DC United as well as some upsets in the Champions League. The Spanish giants didn't look so powerful this week as Celtic defeated Barcelona and Real Madrid was nearly taken down by Borussia Dortmund. It was one hell of a week!

Silvio Berlusconi dominate the talk of the show. Former Italian Prime Minister and current owner of AC Milan was going to be serving 4 years in prison for tax fraud at the start of the show. By the time we finished, his sentence was reduced to 1 year. Italian Judicial System at its best. To continue the trend, Napoli's Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava could each be facing 4 month bans from professional football for their role in a match fixing scandal. Despite the bull above, there were tons of soccer related topics to discuss as Champions League and Europa League returned with some surprising results. We also talked about the prospective Copa America 2016 to be held in the United States, as well as this week's biggest domestic games. Oh, and Toronto FC loses...again! www.kulushow.com www.verse.to

The boys are heartbroken as their adventure of covering Canada's World Cup Qualifying comes to an end with Canada getting spanked away to Honduras. The loss meant Canada would not be participating in CONCACAF's 'Hex" round, featuring the likes of Mexico, the United States, and Jamaica. They talk to Chief Editor of Goal.com Canada Rudi Schueller about the loss and what it means for the future of the beautiful game in Canada.

We were pleased to be joined in the booth by Brendan Dunlop of Fox Soccer News and Sportsnet's Soccer Central as well as Some Canadian Guy Daniel Squizzato, to talk about all the World Cup qualifiers.

Both Champions League and Europa League are back, which usually tends to spark a heated debate. The boys also have tons of domestic action to talk about as well.. Boz came into the studio unusually late as he was recovering from a long night of partying with Danko Jones. Regardless of the late start, It was a fun time in the studio as we had more than a few laughs.. and not just at Toronto FC's expense!

It was a late start for the boys in the studio as producer Boz decided to show up late. He was too busy covering the Rich Aucoin concert the night before and was not his usual self in the studio. Nevertheless, it was a good show as the return of UEFA's Champions League group stage ensured there was lots to talk about. Domestic action, Europa League and MLS dominated the rest of the show...but the boys still found time to talk about Lu as a dad?

This week's show was an exciting one as the boys were joined by good friend of the show and Portuguese soccer expert, "Skinny" Victor Azevedo. He came into the booth to fill us in on some of the action that was happening in the Liga Sagres, where the top Portuguese clubs compete. The boys also had some exclusive interviews from Canada's World Cup Qualifier to play. They shared the behind-the-scenes experience they had from BMO Field, where Canada pulled off a big 1-0 win over Panama. Unfortunetly, Canada was downed 2-0 on the road only days later against Panama...

With the second show of season 2 falling on one of the biggest days for Canadian soccer in almost a decade, the show's creators knew there was only one man to bring into the studio...Squizzu!! Daniel Squizzato (@DanielSquizzato) was a host on the "Some Canadian Guys" soccer podcast, which has unfortunately gone on an "indefinite hiatus", much to the dismay of Canadian soccer fans across the country. However, we were somehow able to convince him to come back into the studio for a second time and join the boys as they went live just hours before the big World Cup Qualifier between Canada and Panama at BMO Field.
