Sometimes the Universe lets you know you are not following the right path. Even though you keep getting whacked with branches, repeatedly, your Ego says, "Well, what doesn't kill us is making us STRONGER." Uh, no. It's just leaves you with concussions, lacerations, and a dislike of tree branches.In this episode I share some pretty tender aspects of what made me abandon what I thought was good for me, and return to what has always sustained me.Oh, and I talk a bit about the art world, being creative, and how I am just really done with trying to put my octagon surrealistic cube into the culturally approved circle.

Today's episode wanders around my experience with selling art on Ebay a decade ago. One small item launched me into a pretty successful career as an artist. As my work continues to shift, I'm hoping that using Etsy will help me build a new base for my cornucopia of goodies.And a big shout out to Angie Reed Garner for her initial purchase of my sacred feminine artwork.

It starts with some "truth bombs," or "taking off the filter," to express a sentiment that is important. There are days that I feel the same way, and have wanted to make a lengthy post, full of rants, that justifies my emotions.What happens when you put down large groups of the population, while also lifting yourself above that demographic, you express your privilege in a very weird way. Not one human on this planet is perfect, and we are all just trying to get along in the world. Sometimes we think it's okay to tell others what to do, and we tend to let our sensitivities get ruffled. Goodness knows I've made a heated post or eleventy million. The thing is - you should not be promoting your business while kicking others in the teeth. Instead, look at the whole idea of personal responsibility. Like, for real, take a good hard look in the mirror. As always, thanks for joining me! Sending buckets of love to each on of you.

Today's episode is a little more "close to the bone," than usual. After some long talks with Mr. The Mister, and then sitting with the idea for some time, I've decided to share a part of my life with all y'all.You will also learn what brought me to really study, know, and apply trauma informed care to my life. What I learned is that many of the providers that offer this type of care, had only seen PTSD in a book. Having experienced it personally, my work takes a slightly difference approach.It is important for me to share this with y'all because representation matters. You can have PTSD and counsel others. You can deal with past traumas, and not let it sneak into your daily life. There are many others out there working to get over that mountain -- you are not alone.

Don't let anyone tell you that it's impossible to start over. Grab your magic bundle, put on your dancing shoes, and just dance on out there.Today's podcast is about how I learned to stop being afraid of change, while also letting go of the expectations of others. There are many quotes about how storytellers provide essential support within communities. However, what happens when stories become corporate? How did a common wisdom tale become a way for a business to line their own pockets?Lately I've noticed many of my peers leaving the traditional world of storytelling. Many times it is good, but others times - for me - it seems as if the stories are being used to harm the world around us.

How has social media changed your life? If you post a full disclosure, and an algorithm doesn't pick it up, do you even really exist?After conquering a major fear/anxiety/insecurity of mine, I had a realization about how I move around in the world.Also, remember y'all, we are all inhabitants of this planet - together and as one tribe - so maybe it is time we remembered that. Instead of, you know, allowing the most liked platitude telling us who we should be.
