Two things are certain this time of year: the Patriots will be in the Super Bowl, and Rob will delusionally think the Jets are there instead. What’s left to say about Brady and Co at this point?? Rob and Dave say all of it. Also, some tennis discussion about who has the highest highs of the men’s Big Three. There’s some major Harden love and hateration as he continues his scoring tornado. But most importantly, stick around for the end. Or skip to the end, we’re not your nannies. But Dave goes on a parenting rant the likes of which we have not seen. It has nothing to do with sports, other than his rageful passion matched only by MJ’s flu game.

Rob and Dave are back with an old standby: the improvised sports TV pilot idea. It's "Pitch" meets "The Replacements" meets "Draft Day" with a whole bunch of other weird stuff thrown in there. And if you'd like to steal it, the guys kindly ask that you don't? Honor system, folks.  Plus, Dave has the drop on an epic reverse jinx to make sure the Chiefs crap the bed, and Rob is a firm believer that everyone in the NFC is a big old fraud.  There's a bit of tennis legend talk, but mostly, it's just an improvisation away from selling an idea to CBS and insta-fame. Remember the Titans? Well, Rob and Dave do. They welcome in the New Year starting with the College Football Championship, and Clemson's blowout win led by Trevor "Sunshine" Lawrence. Also, get ready for some hot takes with the NFL playoffs. Will Andrew Luck's blue collar QB play be enough to take down Patrick Mahomes' flashy game? Dave thinks so.  Lastly, Rob has some weird info to reveal about the anatomy of Rams coach Sean McVay. It's...weird.

The Patriots' run is OFFICIALLY over. LeBron, Lonzo, AND a mystery guest had an unprecedented triple-triple-double on the Lakers. And Dave has finally settled on the best quarterback in the league. No spoilers, but it's definitely Josh Allen.    Plus, there's some ranting about Christmas music, the Eagles have an insane new nickname, Dave makes Rob VERY uncomfortable with some new basketball terminology, and Rob is calling out all future generations of fact-checkers in a new segment called "Your new baby means NOTHING to me, Krahn."   Yup, it's nothing but love and happiness on this holiday special episode of TKP!!

While Rob has been off being a movie star Dave fixed the NFL's QB problem. Oh, also Rob is starring in a movie and he may have gone all "Hollywood" on us. Word on the street is that Kevin Durant is going to the Knicks next season. So Rob and Dave put their incredible brains together to improvise what a "Durant to the Knicks" movie would look like. It's a little bit of everything today. A smorgasbord, if you will, of topical sports news. LeBron's Lakers stumbling out of the gate, the Red Sox being the most fun team to root for, and even a little update on everything that LaVar, Lonzo, and LiAngelo Ball have been up to. There might even be a little millionaire matchmaking taking place?   Oh, and the biggest Fantasy Football controversy ever... caused by Dave, and Rob is just READY to jump at the chance to call him out. Stick around for the end, because Rob is really trying to incite the internet into a letter writing campaign condemning his terrible behavior.

Yeah, it's episode 100, and since Rob and Dave put out one episode every 10 years, that means they're both at least 1,000 years old. Math!   But as such, it's time to sit back and figure out -- what are the ten "cranky old man sports takes" that you actually believe in? Any sport, any aspect of the sport, could be on the court or off. Guys, they really tried. They really, really did. Astros versus Red Sox, one baseball fan and one decidedly non-baseball fan gave it their all, and they learned a thing we'd kind of always assumed: baseball is a LOT of dead time.    Does the conversation descend into a cantankerous discussion of why lefties can't beat the shift and a healthy does of Rob's Lando Calrissian impression? Yes it does. And this is in the middle of a one-run playoff game. We shudder to imagine what might go down between these two during a 9-2 laugher in the middle of July.    In short, please hire these two men to be your local team's play-by-play guys. Let's make baseball super weird. 

Well, we can put that experiment to bed.    You know, like every NFL fan who can speak in full sentences, Rob and Dave have long thought that they could do play-by-play better than the jamokes who are actually on television. That they'd be funnier and more insightful and just a hell of a lot more entertaining.   Well... you be the judge. They do the first quarter of the marquee matchup between the Chiefs and Patriots, and I think we all learn something about ourselves in a very short amount of time. 

We’re talking Red Sox sexiness in beating the Yankees. Jamaal Charles making every 31 year old on the planet feel super old. And of course, the descent of UFC into one notch above the WWE, the way it was kind of always destined to be. That's right, it’s time for another edition of all-in/not a fan. Rob and Dave are diving super deep into the front page of most major sports web sites to select the biggest, weirdest, and let’s be honest, funniest stories from the week.

The one we've all been waiting for. Can LeBron make the Lakers a contender? Can Melo gel with The Beard? Will Derrick Rose ever retire? All these questions, and a few more that no one is asking, will finally be answered.

Okay, we're really sorry, but the first ten minutes of this podcast are just Rob and Dave getting super angry at each other about a MAJOR FANTASY FOOTBALL CONTROVERSY. We know, we know, you don't care about anyone else's league, but really, everyone's souls are at stake here. Feel free to skip past this if you're just here for the hoops.    But then we get into which teams have a chance of making noise in the East (read: basically none of them if you don't have Kawhi or Jayson Tatum) on your team), which teams are going to joyfully stink, and which teams are just super happy to get a playoff seed between #4 and #7 for the next 100 years.    And we'll be doing the Western Conference teams next, so look out for that. But darnit, Dave just can't stop salivating about Luka Doncic. So much great hoops to look forward to!!

We're talking LeBron (what sort of year is he going to have? Because he's going to intentionally score about 8 points per game.)    We're even talking some baseball (what??) led by Rob (WHAT??!??!), who has a simply delightful story that almost sounds like product placement.
