#3: Jude Rake - Growth Mindset, Servant Leadership, and the Transcendent Power of Curiosity

Jude Rake is the leader’s leader. This means that not only would emerging leaders benefit from his experience and coaching, but seasoned leaders profit from his wisdom as much or more. In this episode, I sit down with Jude (@juderake on LinkedIn and @jdrgrowth on Twitter), and we explore many areas, including the superpower of curiosity, key practices for self-improvement, how to be a bad boss (and how to learn from one), nature vs. nurture, and of course leadership. Jude is the founder and CEO of JDR Growth Partners, a leadership consulting firm, and has been recognized for leadership, creativity, and marketing excellence with Clio, Mobius, and Effie awards, and he has received the Burnham award for innovation. He was also named a Top 100 marketer twice by Advertising Age. Jude’s career has spanned decades where he has served in critical roles in some of the most well-known companies and brands in the world, including SC Johnson, Pepsi, and Clorox, among others. This career has taken him around the globe allowing him to accumulate a wealth of experience and knowledge along the way – experience and knowledge coupled with deliberate practice has translated into deep insight and wisdom. He now shares this wisdom with his clients, friends, family, as well as audiences around the country through his keynotes about leadership, specifically servant leadership. Fortunately for us he’s memorialized his learnings and experiences surrounding servant leadership in his book: The Bridge to Growth. Do yourself a favor and check that out.
