Episode 45 - Cruise Forever
This week on chaos in podcasting The Iron Sequel I am joined by Aaron and Carlee from the Hit Factory Podcast. Hit Factory is a podcast that focuses on the politics and films of the 90s, the decade in which I CAME ALIVE! It was a true pleasure to talk in depth about growing up in the decade and the media that helped shape us as people. I was fortunate enough to stumble across Aaron and Carlee when I was close to closing my Twitter and their humour and outlook on life made me rethink my decision as it has been great getting to know them both.  Please check out Hit Factory as they have covered some incredible films with fantastic guests and can be found wherever you get your podcasts. This will be my first monthly episode moving forward as it is so much more manageable and gives me time to prepare and edit with some breathing room. Enjoy! Episode 44 - Trash Machine
This week on the most chaotic podcast on earth I am joined by my dear dear friend Mr. Andrew Taylor Carr. Andrew was my first ever guest on The Iron Sequel and his choice of film could not be any more different! It was great to catch up and see how his podcast 'Sons of Selvedge' is getting on.  Most importantly we talked at length about the podcast that helped make us into the budding cinephiles we are today, The Gentlemens Guide to Midnite Cinema. We owe a lot to Will and Sammy so was nice to reflect on the glory days.  Sons of Selvedge Film - Escape from the Bronx Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - James Brown - Down and Out in New York City

Episode 43 - Fast as a Shark
This week I am joined by Dr. Adrian Smith from The Wild Wild Podcast. Adrian is an Italian genre fanatic like myself. His podcast covers sub genres of Italian madness over a series. He has just finished his series on The Iron Sequel favourite the Poliziotteschi.  We gushed over Rome and meeting Luigi Cozzi and a little concerning discussion surrounding collector fandom and how it's getting a little out of hand.  FYI I have been plagued by internet Gremlins of late so more than once there is a small stutter. Apologies.  Wild Wild Podcast Site Film - Jaws 3-D Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Accept - Fast as a Shark

Episode 42 - Doomed Again
This week I am joined by Bill Ackerman from the Supporting Characters podcast. Supporting Characters is part of the Now Playing Network and Bill's guests range from writers through to producers and fellow podcasters. The roster of guests Bill pulls together is nothing short of spectacular if you're a fan of every aspect of film. I initially reached out because we have had quite a few crossovers in terms of guests.  As someone still fairly new to the podcasting game it was wonderful to hear how Bill puts his episodes together and actually gets industry types onto his show. It was a really special chat and if it wasn't for the extreme heat (and time zones) we could have talked for hours. Enjoy!  Supporting Characters Twitter Supporting Characters Now Playing Network Film - Friday 13th Part II Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Rudimentary Peni - Anthem for Doomed Youth

Episode 41 - Dead Harder
This week I am joined by Twitter buddy Giles Edwards. Giles happens to be a producer and has worked on two very well received genre films THE GIRL ON THE FLOOR and BROADCAST SIGNAL INTRUSION. It was great to get a sneak peek into how the industry works and how the past few years have impacted production of films. He also dispelled the myth that all producers are strung out madmen working 23 hours a day.  Giles enthusiasm for film is deadly infectious and this is the longest chat I have had in sometime. Enjoy!! Giles Twitter Giles Letterboxd Film - Die Hard 2 Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Karate - Airport

Episode 40 - Just Arson Around
Regular programming has resumed! This week I am joined by a true genre expert, a Cannon Films expert to be precise. Austin Trunick has just released his second book about Cannon Films this time covering the years 1985 through 1987. His books are a true source of EVERYTHING Cannon from interviews through to unseen images. Cannon has played a huge part in my film education from a very young age and to get to speak to a truly knowledgeable person on the subject was nothing short of a genuine treat. Give his Twitter account a follow for great pictures, lobby cards, anecdotes and more.  We also gush over Fun City Editions yet again in the recent watches segment. This was an editing nightmare as I was convinced I'd forgot to record correctly!  Cannon Film Guide Twitter The Cannon Film Guide Vol. 2 Film - Exterminator 2 Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Stained Glass - Fahrenheit

Episode 39 - Top Gun: Maverick
Yes, you read it correctly. This is a one off solo episode about TOP GUN: MAVERICK. A film that has had a serious impact on me since seeing it on it's release. It's pretty much the perfect sequel and I guarantee everyone will have an amazing time with it.  I just had to get this off my chest with a short free speaking episode. Enjoy!

Episode 38 - The Blair Possession Project
This is week is the first of many "hang out" episodes in which I invite someone from social media circles to talk about film. First up is Dylan aka Balthazar Bee on Twitter. We share very similar tastes especially 70s cinema and when he was talking about todays pick on Twitter I had to extend an invitation.  BeeBalthazar Twitter Film - Exorcist II: The Heretic Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Ennio Morricone - Magic and Ecstasy

Episode 37 - My Dear Driller
This week I am joined by The Reverend Terry from VideoReligion.net. Video Religion is a love letter to trash, horror, genre and the most bizarre films you're ever likely to see. I first came across Video Religion browsing for specific horror images and stumbled across his blog which is a treasure trove of madness. His site also has reviews and links to other social media and folks he frequently collaborates with. It's a treat to just dive in! Episode 36 - Rambo in Love
This week I am joined by music expert and collector Tony Giles. I've been a fan of Tony's reviews and the open window into his collection and taste. He is also one half of the Tony and Scott podcast and has a YouTube channel called "The Record Room" in which he reviews albums, soundtracks and special picks from his collection. If you're not following him you're in for a treat when you just see how dedicated he is to the humble record.  It's always pleasing when someone's journey into music and film is similar to my own and it was a great to finally get behind the mic together.  Tony's Twitter The Record Room YouTube Channel Film - Rambo III Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Nattefrost - Mass-Destruction

Episode 35 - The Grateful Red
This week I am joined by British podcasting royalty. Jordan McGrath has been talking about film since time began and I was a huge fan of 35mm Heroes back in the day. He has also tried his hand at print with Verite film magazine and has recently been talking film with his wife on His Film Her Movie. The latter watches a recommendation from their partner and they talk about their opinions. They recently finished a Heist season which brought up some interesting picks.  I was very nervous to talk about this weeks film as I explain on the podcast but Jordan was a wonderful guest who brought a real passion and knowledge to the discussion. Episode 34 - Haunting Italian Style
This week I am joined by George Pacheco aka MetalGeorge666. George is a writer for Rue Morgue magazine and Watch Mojo. Recently George was involved in the Horror History documentary that Watch Mojo produced for YouTube and is a wonderful whistle-stop tour through horrors legacy and sub genres.  It was great to finally chat to George as our taste in pretty much everything is exactly alike and we had a wonderful chat around 70s genre films and Italian horror nonsense.  Watch Mojo Horror History Film - Amityville II: The Possession  Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Possessed - Beyond the Gates

Episode 33 - James and the Giant Shark
I'M BACK! After a break over Christmas to relax and see family and friends it's great to get talking about film again. I was joined by my dear friend James Swallow, @ChairmanBLAOW on twitter, to talk about the old UK DIY scene, recent watches and some shark film called Jaws 2.  I was very, very rusty so please hold tight as I will warm up. James was a great chat and I hope you enjoy the episode Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Film - Jaws 2 Outro Music - Shark Attack - Blood in the Water

Episode 32 - Wizard Fight
Another different feel to this weeks episode. I am joined by my daughter Beatrice Silva Lawrence to talk about Harry Potter. We started the books roughly a year to the day and after each one we've been watching the films. Bea showed interest in talking about it so here we are.  Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Film - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Outro Music - Weedeater - Wizard Fight

Episode 31 - Blood in the Streets
Very different feel to this weeks episode. No sequel, music, intros or recent watches but a chat with the author of 'Blood in the Streets' Dr. Austin Fisher. Austin is film culture historian covering the history and politics in cinema within the USA and Italy. I reached out with my usual email and Austin's response was to have an open chat surrounding the 'Poliziotteschi' and the 'Anni di Piombo'.  I really felt I had to be on my A game for this episode but Austin was a delight to talk to and really helped flex my cinematic history muscles. Enjoy. https://eprints.bournemouth.ac.uk/33055/ https://twitter.com/austinjfisher Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Armando Trovajoli - Blazing Magnum

Episode 30 - Bozo Wars: Diesel Powered Madness
IT'S EPISODE 30! On this weeks episode I am joined by Troy and Brad from the Not a Bomb Podcast. Not a Bomb is kind of a spirit animal to The Iron Sequel in which the guys talk about films that were panned and or underappreciated. It's a wonderful listen with two guys who are passionate about their love of cinema. We also talked about how we've crossed paths over the years due to the GGTMC and subsequent podcasts. A really lovely laid back chat with two great guys and I can't wait to inflict a personal choice on an episode with them in the future.  https://www.notabombpodcast.com/ https://www.twitter.com/notabombpod Film - The Chronicles of Riddick Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Failure - Heavy and Blind

Episode 29 - Demonic Pasta Parcel
On this weeks episode I am joined by my dear friend Rachael Nisbet. Rachel is one of the true leading voices on Giallo and Italian genre cinema and looks at the films from a fashion/architectural eye. Watching her career in writing through to podcasting and into the blu-ray release market providing commentaries and essays has been nothing short of a treat. Her Podcast, Fragements of Fear, also looks at some of the lesser celebrated Gialli with her co-host Peter Jilmstad. If you have bought a Giallo from Arrow or Vinegar Syndrome recently then the chances of Rachel providing some content is very high!  Please enjoy our chat and maybe be a little patient as this is the first real time we've talked during our friendship so we go a little all over the place BUT you get a snapshot Morrissey impression from yours truly.  https://twitter.com/rachael_nisbet https://hypnoticcrescendos.blogspot.com/ Film - Demons 2 (Dèmoni 2) Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Entombed - Demon

Her recent work 'The Legacy of WWII in European Arthouse Cinema' was released in May of this year and she also co-hosts the 'Twitch of the Death Nerve' podcast. Never one to back away from a discussion surrounding genre cinema, more specifically Cat III, we had a really wonderful discussion about her work, upcoming projects and how she navigates her way through gatekeepers online.  Please check out one of her many projects as her knowledge and love of cinema shines in her work.  https://twitter.com/sammdeighan https://cinepunx.com/podcast-episodes/twitch-of-the-death-nerve/ https://www.patreon.com/sammdeighan Film - Possessed II (Yan gui fa kuang) Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Karate - There Are Ghosts

The L.A. thriller Walking the Edge is the jewel in the labels crown along with neon gangster films and cowboy road trips. We also swooned over our love for Frank Perry's The Swimmer more than once.  If like me you're prone to a blind buy then look no further than Fun City as I guarantee you'll love the films https://twitter.com/FunCityEdition Film - Superman III Intro Music - Iron Sequel Theme Outro Music - Neil Young - Computer Cowboy
