The Insatiable Lust for Life is always an opportunity to present more of a personal expression into certain areas of life and every time I sit down with Amy to record these podcasts, I don't even know the topics that I'm going to write. Travelling on from the previous episode of The Insatiable Lust for Life with Steven North, I talk about a handful of different topics and it has seen myself go right into a state of vulnerability with some of the information that I share. When doing an episode, I don't necessarily plan what I'm going to be talking about and have to may record a specific segment a few times just because I want that raw perfection. In this episode, I talk about my experiences in Brisbane, the MBS Festival, the Rebirth process and how it has brought forward a change in who I work with, I briefly touch on the misrepresentation of the Masculine & Feminine energy as a duality based electromagnetic system and I then dive into working with emotions. Welcome to The Insatiable Lust for Life Podcast – Episode 10 with Steven North. In this episode, we’re focusing on the love for music. A DJ set by the alias known as DJ Forgone, Steven North performed a two hour DJ set and travels through the realms of all things House Music. In 2011, Steven jumped back into the music industry and played at venues around Perth, Western Australia, such as Eve Nightclub at Crown Casino, Geisha Bar in Northbridge. The Left Bank in Fremantle, Flawless in Subiaco and even held a few parties on his own under the alias of Forgone Productions. Steven North ‘DJ Forgone’ performing at the Geisha Bar, Northbridge for an event hosted by Habitat. Steven North has always been influenced by the music industry with being a music journalist for Empire of Perth. Interviewed DJ Celeste Siam for Luxurious Magazine, worked as an A&R for an Italian House Music record label and worked in the industry for many years. There’s much more to the music career with Steven North and to his amazement, it all played a part in the development of The Heart Activation Music and everything that is planned in the future. The Insatiable Lust for Life (TIL4L) is more than just a podcast! It’s a way of life, it’s a way of dreaming, it’s a way of experiencing the happiness that is known as the “Forgone Experience” and in this exciting episode, Steven North puts on the alter-ego of DJ Forgone to bring you this amazing dj set that is filled with plenty of happy vibes and house music. Steven began his DJ career back at the age of 17 for a company called ‘Party Sounds’, performing at weddings, functions and birthday parties every weekend as a junior. Learning to work with music, learning to work the crowd and exploring the realms of happiness with the music. To utilise music as a way of expression, a way to explore the emotions. The music career was placed on hold after obtaining a full time job that involved working weekends and after a few years of this, getting married etcetera, the dream was put to sleep. Years later, Steven discovered that the dream never left his body and this was reignited in 2010 with a trip to Rome, Italy / Eindhoven, Netherlands and Cairo / Egypt. It was the visit to Rome that Steven had reignited the dream of playing with music and brought his focus back to music again. In 2011/2012, this saw Steven hosting DJ set based radio shows in London, Mexico, Perth, Bulgaria & Germany (from memory), journalist for Empire of Perth, Music Producer for Luxurious Magazine, A&R for an Italian based record label to then begin the venture of creating his own record label “Forgone Records”, it saw him DJ’ing at the Even Nightclub, Crown Casino, Windsor Hotel, Geisha Bar, Flawless and a few doof parties with Shakedown Productions. Today, Steven has releases through Senssual Records (Ibiza), House Park Records (Italy) & Digital Empire Records. Here’s a list of the tracks that he’s released.
