Open Handed Living (A Practical Perspective)
Hey, Impactivists! Welcome to PART TWO of our 2-part session on 'open handed living'. We had a GREAT 2-hour conversation that ended up breaking itself into 2 distinct perspectives: spiritual and practical. That being said, we struggled with how to label such a conversation. A spiritual practice should inherently be, well... practical. On the other hand, to imply something is practical doesn't mean it doesn't have spiritual value... sigh. Yet here we are with trying to decide how to break this up into consumable bites that make sense across a broad audience. So, ladies and gentlemen, we give you part one of 'Open Handed Living'. Please enjoy. Please discuss. Please leave your comments and insights to help continue the discussion. And be legendary.

Turning Obstacles into Opportunity (ft. Chief Jessica Robledo)
Her father was murdered when she was only 8 years old. A year later her mother passed away. She grew up breaking down barriers and learning to lead with a servant's heart. She not only became the first female street narcotics officer on the Austin PD, but in 2017 took charge of Pflugerville as the first female police chief in it's history. Lead. Follow. Or get out of the way. And lead with a servant's heart. She walks the talk EVERY day and has created a leadership culture that inspires her citizens to run TO the badge, not FROM it. Because at the end of the day, it's not about skin color. It's about serving out of love for your fellow man.
