Good morning, I'm in a reflective mood today and I find myself sitting here thinking about the meaning of it all. Don't ask me why! I guess you just get days like that, not in a negative way but in a curious way. I think it's important to take a step back and ask the question from time to time, especially right now with everything that has happened. It has quietened the noise, silenced the distractions of our modern lives and highlighted what really matters. It's just us! It's you and me, its family, it's friends, IT'S CONNECTION. Everything else is just noise, just a distraction to what we are really here for, to build connection and learn from one another, share ideas and to grow as human beings, not to buy faster cars or bigger TV's, if that stuff makes you happy, (it does for me!) then great, but don't let it distract you from what is REAL and what is just nice to have. We don't need all this stuff, but we do NEED each other. Maybe spend six months alone with your fast car and widescreen TV and see which is more important, stuff or people. Anyway, I'm in danger of preaching here and my point was to share my thoughts and not start a Sunday service!So, my conclusion? Well, I have concluded that I need to do more to find connection, to uncover emotional content, to dig a little deeper within me and others to find more useful meaning and learn what there is to know. It's all very well coming up with lofty thoughts but without practical implementation, they are just some nice thoughts, so for that reason today I wanted to share with you that I will do more. I am putting it out there to let my community and the wider interwebs know that I NEED TO DO MORE. and I will. My practical implementation is going to be a conversation, one that goes deeper, not an interview, a human to human connection that listens to find what's there, to learn what there is to be learnt. Yes, I want to find practical lessons that can be used in everyday life and business for sure but I want to find more, and be open to whatever that is, we all have a story, we all have experience and I want to take the time to uncover those stories and learn from other amazing people, so if you want to come along on this journey I would LOVE your support, I don't want your money, just your time to listen and see what's there. It will start simply with a conversation with some interesting people, it will be hosted on YouTube and I will make the audio available in a podcast if you prefer to listen. Maybe take a walk, sit by the river, take some time out to connect with another human.
