Series 2 Episode 6 - Skin Care
In this episode we have the great pleasure of speaking to skincare specialist, makeup artist and all round skin aficionado, Ella Gorton.  We know from listener comments that changes to skin as a result of the dramatic drop in hormones during menopause can cause a lot of stress for many women.  Ella was therefore the perfect guest for us to have on the show. An expert not just from education but as a result of her own battle with adult acne, Ella has a unique interest in skincare, offering advice about ingredients rather than products as she understands that everyone’s skin is different so her advice encourages her clients and followers to form their own skincare management routine.  On this episode she shares her pearls of wisdom with special focus on problems for peri/menopausal women such as dry skin, Rosacea and adult acne.  So grab your favourite beverage, sit back and get your notepad ready as you listen to the incredible knowledge that Ella shares on this episode and hopefully by the end of it your skin will be positively glowing with anticipation. You can follow Ella on @_myskinstory on Instagram and she also has her own podcast Speak Skin that can be found on all major providers.

Series 2 - Episode 5 - Jo's story
In this episode we were so excited to speak to mother, worker, hydro jog and aqua fit tutor, record holding stand up paddle boarder, Jo Moseley.  There is too much to say about everything that Jo has done; it’s more about what she’s not done! Following a bereavement and her struggles with intense anxiety which she later discovered was due to perimenopause, Jo sought solace from exercise.  With a huge amount of tenacity, following the gift of a rowing machine from her friend, Jo worked through her anxiety by exercising, but not in a straightforward way.  She rowed a marathon, she paddle-boarded coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole and she did so much more and regularly speaks at events to inspire others to do the same. Jo shares her story on this episode, which we are sure will inspire you as it has done for so many women.  She is an incredibly energetic and enthusiastic woman who is driven by joy, purpose and gratitude.  One of her mantras is “I am my own happy ending” and if you listen to this episode you will absolutely understand why. You can find Jo on Twitter and Instagram @happyhealthy50. Jo has also been nominated for a sporting achievement award and you can vote for her here: http://womeninsportnorth.org/nominate/ If you want to hear more of Jo’s story you can do so in an article that featured her story written in the Telegraph Sports Supplement: http://womeninsportnorth.org/nominate/ If you are enjoying the Hot and Moody podcast please could you take the time to rate and review us as that will help others to find us on their podcast provider.  Thank you!
