Expanding The Mind: Plant-Based Eating
Plant-based food is A way of eating consisting mostly or entirely of foods derived from plants, including vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, fruits and with few or no animal products.
Join me as I delve into the world of PLANT-BASED EATING and talk about 1 Podcast, 2 Books, 1 TV Show, and 1 chef that have made me hungry , in every sense of the word. Hungry for food and hungry for wanting to know more.
First up is Rich Roll who has this amazing podcast. I’ve learned so much from listening to his diverse guests. The first-ever podcast I listened too was when he had Dr Zach Bush, a triple board-certified physician who specialises in the gut and the microbiome. The man made me cry. He is so right on so many things.
Listened to his podcast with the Rich Roll. You won’t be disappointed. Oddly enough, I had the same sort of conversation with Heather Rusk on my first podcast. Synchronicity always blows my mind!
Dr Michael Greger who wrote ‘How not to Die’.
He is an American physician, author, and professional speaker on public health issues, best known for his advocacy of a whole-food, plant-based diet, and his opposition to animal-derived food products. As human beings, we can do much better and this is what he tells us in this awesome book.
Dr Will Bulsiewicz, affectionately known as Dr B or as I call the Dr House of the gut! In this ‘I can’t put it down’ book ‘Fiber Fuelled’, based on copious amounts of research, he explains why going Plant-Based and feeding our gut with fibre is the best thing we can do for our bodies.
Chef Cynthia Louise. The woman who is showing that plant-based food is anything but boring and involves more than a sad carrot and crap loaded additives food. I dig this woman so much, that I am telling everyone that I know about her.
Down to Earth with Hollywood actor Zac Efron and Darin Olien, an author, entrepreneur and podcast host who is well-versed in the world of sustainability.
I learned a lot with this show and the episode I am focusing on is the Sardinia one.
