Binesh Bannerjee is a computer scientist who specializes in machine learning. He is at the forefront of what machine learning can do and has some great insights as to where this industry is going, what to expect, and how this ties into many other industries that are going to be rapidly changing.

You might recognize Michael from his popular YouTube channel takeSomeCrime, where he operates under 3 alter egos, each created for a certain style of dance, Forsythe, Guile and Ogg/Ogg Voldo. He has been written about in the New York Times, The Financial Times and Forbes. He was recently featured in an exhibit at the Venice Biennale in Italy, one of the world's biggest annual arts events. Outside of dance, Mike is a very well traveled individual who has a lot of interesting experiences and has a lot of share! On top of this, Mike holds his PhD in , and is involved in some very exciting work in this field.

Andrew Knack was recently re-elected to the City of Edmonton's council to represent Ward 1. In this last campaign, he ran and won without any corporate sponsorship. Not many people know, but he previously ran twice before he finally got elected onto city council for his first term. He has a passion for helping people and tackling complicated problems not only that we are currently facing as a city, but what we expect to encounter in the near future.

Dorian Joyal is somebody who found her passion a couple of years ago is going full steam ahead in helping as many people who will be transitioning into retirement in the next 5-10 years. She noticed a lot of retiree's were dying sooner, having financial troubles, and overall disengaged from the community. She has since published a book and is doing everything she can to educate people about retirement and how they can plan to be successful and most importantly, not lose their sense of purpose or community.

Patrycia Rzechowka is a pretty outstanding person. Being a naturally high achiever growing up, Patrycia always sought out to better the world. Being diagnosed with MS changed her life, but not in the way you would think... She began channeling her energy into finding a cure, helping others, and supporting people the way she was supported throughout her journey. Being one of Edmonton's top 40 under 40 was just a by product of what she loves doing, and never wanted any sort of attention, she's someone who is about doing the right thing.

Ben Proulx first realized the power of stand up comedy when he was 14 years old and eventually started doing it himself when he turned 18. Ben wrote One Leg To Stand On which is about his experience living with only one leg and losing the other one to cancer. While he was on tour performing all over North America as a comedian, he also acted in award winning film The Revenant, and has played parts in show's like Hell on Wheels and Heartland.

Nathan Nasseri is the CEO of the REinVR startup which was formed in 2016. He is an extremely motivated person who is working diligently on revolutionizing the home buying experience. On top of this, he has an idea of exactly what he wants and will stop at nothing to get there.

Zee has walked a different path in life than most… To say the least. He own’s a booming cafe and has expanded to 6 locations in just a few years.

Dan Johnstone grew up a lower-class kid from Edmonton. He started working construction after 1 year of university because he needed to support his family, and over the years he started his own foundation to return the favor to support families that were once in the situation he was in. Over 6 years, he has built Can Man Dan into what most would consider a life changing foundation.

Chris Koziak was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He is a successful business owner and real estate investor. From a young age Chris learned the value of effort and working towards the things you want in life. Being raised by a single mother Chris and his siblings experienced the many struggles that come with such an ordeal.

Herb Kenny grew up on the East coast of Canada. He knew he wanted to be in the military at a very young age, and retired from the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry after serving for 25 years. Over his career, he has learned a lot about leadership, discipline, and team work. Herb believes his success is a result of principles he’s learned, codified, and applied to his life from the military.
