E20 - The best 20 of 2020 has got to be Episode 20.  The Podcast has hit another personal milestone that we’re both stoked about.  After a celebratory toast and typical beer review, we relive the family festivities of this thanksgiving that were anything but normal, and some would even go as far as saying “painful.”  We then check in on the gaming industry while discussing a multitude of topics ranging from the latest releases in gaming hardware and consoles, game glitches and product development, pure flops, and even long anticipated releases, like the Dr. Dre album of games, Cyberpunk 2077 -- who dropped their original teaser trailer in 2013!?!!...  We even got some NFL discussion in after seeing the recent promotions throughout the league due to the growing list of COVID-related players throughout.  The circumstances that recently transpired in Denver lead us to a conversation around versatility, and how more positions need to become interchangeable, or players need to be able to offer multiple skill sets ultimately leading to a bigger competitive advantage. Imagine the QB position being thought of as that of an MLB pitcher in that the reliever/bullpen is there for assistance and strategy, yet the NFL offers free substitution.  Or like, we treat the RB position by committee these days and salaries are lower by average because of it… see where I’m going?  Like--Subscribe--Share… Enjoy!!!

E19 - After another short hiatus, the Grow’d Up Show is back… for what it’s worth.  Life gets crazy, in the way and shit, sorry if you missed us.  A beer review as per the usual, followed by some gaming talk; the new COD Cold War is out and believe it or not, Danny has logged more games and has more to share than Anthony, go figure!  From there we discuss Cancel Culture, in particularly the impact its having on the beloved Mandalorian character, Baby Yoda… Anthony takes us on a Star Wars history lesson.  We then pivot to the NBA Draft to discuss the good news of the Warriors new 2nd round draft pick while mourning over another potential season ending loss for the one and only Klay Thompson.   Life’s not fair… have a beer and enjoy episode 19.  Like, Subscribe, Enjoy!

E18 - Wasted no time needing an excuse to get right into this week’s beer review… Anthony is also learning what his beer niche is and also what beers to avoid, apparently. We touch briefly on the debate, since well, neither of us cared to watch, it… like it was going to sway our votes at this point or something. Anthony gets us caught up on some of the latest topic in the Esports and Gaming communities with much of the chatter about ownership rights to music that is being played in the background of streamer’s video game audio. It really is an interesting topic that is spiralling out of control quickly all for those trying profit as much as possible on still a very adolescent, untapped industry. We move from Esports to live sports with some NFL and MLB talk. We reflect on the use of the extra innings runner in MLB and the DH and where we see them long-term. We also reflect on some of the recent NFL rule changes, and of course the latest of what going on around the league. From there we wrap up with our favorite segment: Random Questions. E17 - What a week it’s been... Anthony finally received his long-awaited Pelaton which ironically took us down a rabbit hole discussing some rather interesting recent shopping experiences--some borderline gross; do you still enact the 5-second rule? Danny does! We quickly transitioned to more hot-topics, like the villain sweeping through the NFL that is COVID-19 and the ramifications of the league’s actions, or lack thereof that continue to present the uncertainty of the remainder of the season. We offer potential scenarios that would make sense but all of which require sacrifices… what sacrifices would you be willing to take for millions of dollars and worldwide success? I’d sacrifice a lot, but that’s just me. Of course, Random Questions is back again and here to stay, where we see what super power each of us would choose if we had the opportunity and why you never hear about psychics winning the lottery. E16 - Life got in the way for a week, but the show is back! Of course, lots to discuss from the last 2 weeks of Presidential and Vice Presidential debates.  It’s really sad to see the slander in these debates rather than the actual discussion around real issues that need to be addressed in our society.  Funny though, how this discussion lead us to the Spotify drama surrounding the Podfather himself, Joe Rogan! We also discuss the current events of the NFL season as COVID-19 remains undefeated so far in the 2020 season.  Lastly, we sign off with one of our favorite and now weekly segments, “Random Questions” as we explore the 5 must-haves for any road trip and even a bit deeper of a question with our thoughts on “kickin’ the bucket.” Enjoy… Like, Subscribe!

E15 - This podcast probably never needed a beer more than after week 2 of the NFL.  We debrief the biggest storylines surrounding the NFL in week 2 and we preview the upcoming week as well.  Ironically, the talk of injuries has us reminiscing about some notable players that have hung it up either early or unexpectedly due to injuries or the concern for potential bodily harm--after all, football is a full contact sport! After a lengthy football discussion we shift gears back to one of our favorite segments, “Random Questions” where we talk time travel and when/where we would go if we had the ability and also our least favorite chores to do around the house! E14 - The podcast is back after a short 1-week hiatus in the midst of a west coast inferno.  After catching up a bit over a beer as usual, Anthony vents his frustration for the continued delay of his beloved Peloton Exercise Bike that he has eagerly been waiting for.  From there we begin to reminisce of the simpler times and remind ourselves of how we did things in the 90’s when we were kids as opposed to how kids do things these days--ya know, recording your favorite songs off the radio and actually watching music videos on MTV, and why aren’t iPods still available?  We then dive into a recap of week 1 around the NFL and our biggest take-always and surprises.  And, it wouldn’t be a Grow’d Up Show without a little Gaming and Esports talk and even a little nugget from the Skate community.  Enjoy… Like, Subscribe! 

E13 - Full names or nicknames??... We debate over a beer of course.  From there we dive into the Esports arena and discuss a multitude of topics as it relates to the evolving impact gaming is having across multiple platforms.  Also, what is the gaming industry doing about the use of constant, overwhelming use of racial slurs and discrimination throughout the in-game chat and live stream chatrooms? We then shift gears to another one of our favorite segments “Awkward Encounters” and discuss how something as simple as a trip to get food can present itself some of the most awkward of encounters--especially since everyone is trying to do it all safe and COVID-style.  Enjoy… 

E12 - This week there is no topic bigger than Jacob Blake and no need to talk about much else.  Black Lives Matter; they always have and always will! Change is long overdue and more necessary than ever before!

E11 - A rather eventful week recapped over a beer--a couple birthdays, a few firsts, and a whole lot of good times.  We share a couple of entertaining must-follows on social media that are sure to keep you laughing and having fun.  We then take a turn, not particularly right or left, to comment on the current political climate and the nature in which advertising is being used within the presidential race not to promote their candidacy, but to slander the competition.  From there we dive into some recent Netflix must-watch shows and specials and even some to potentially avoid.  It was another fun one for sure, we hope you enjoy--and please don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE!

E10 - In true Grow’d Up Show fashion, we kick off our 10th episode with another Craft Beer review followed by some news and updates swirling around the Gaming Community.  Anthony fills you in on all things Dr. Disrespect as he makes his way back to streaming, though not on Twitch.  Not to mention, Shroud finally surfaces to see what’s been going on.   Finally we move away from the virtual world to the Gridiron to discuss the Record-breaking contract extension received by George Kittle form the Niners--the league’s best TE finally got what he deserved.  Lastly we, cap off our 10th  episode with another one of our favorite segments from episode 1... “Top 5 on Tap” … counting down our most influential and impactful comedians of our lifetime.  Enjoy!

E09 - Just as you’d expect, we pop off this episode with a Beer and a bit of banter about our week.  We peel back the curtain a bit and discuss our go-to BBQ favorites and must-have pot-luck dishes (let us know your favorites too--we always need new ideas).  From there, we try to address some of life’s “Unanswered Questions”--some as simple as what going on in Baseball today with all these QB cheat sheets and others as deep as contemplating alternative engineering and ways the Egyptian Pyramids were built (we cover a broad spectrum here on The Grow’d Up Show).  Lastly we introduce a new segment as we discuss some recent or past “Awkward Encounters’’ and of course it leads Anthony to another Safeway story!

E08 - We begin with our weekly check-in and beer review followed by some venting about recent struggles that have occurred this week, like a “routine” trip to the one and only IKEA. From there we dive into the world of sports and discuss the recent events surrounding MLB as it relates to COVID-19, the now-legend  Dodger Joe Kelly for his actions against the Houston Astro’s, and even a trip down memory lane as we discuss the great Barry Bonds, the steroid era and his “imminent” HOF induction.  This episode was all over the map: we even get a little political and wrap it up with a couple of “Random Questions” that give new meaning to the phrase “NIKE balls.”

E07 - In this episode we share our excitement for actual sporting events returning to the stage after an extended hiatus due to COVID-19.  We discuss the upcoming “altered” MLB season, the rule changes that will be implemented, as well as the potential playoff expansion.  And, of course a beer review along with some “Dad Talk” highlighting some of our most memorable moments of the week.  Lastly, we introduce a new segment--“Take a Mulligan”-- where we each tell a story of an experience recently where we wish we could roll the tape back and take 2 real quick.

E06 - Following another weekly update and craft beer review, we dive into the latest gaming news as we do our best to read between the lines, so-to-speak, of the first Dr. Disrespect interview since his Twitch ban.  Also we try to decode The Doc's latest twitter video and what his next move may be.  From there, we chat about the latest life circumstances within the ongoing evolution of the COVID-19 era. Also, what is the NBA bubble like and how did they decide which team gets what amenities?  And you can’t miss our “Random Questions” segment where we find out who’s your favorite Ninja Turtle and what that says about you, as well as what is your all time favorite, can-always-watch, knee-slapper, comedy movie?!?

E05 - In this Episode we give a brief update on what’s happening with some of the biggest stories in Gaming and Esports news Like NINJA’s live YouTube stream and Dr. Disrespect surfacing with a donation and a cryptic message alluding to being a “Twitch scapegoat.”  From there we dive into NFL Free Agency signings, most notably the MASSIVE deal for Patrick Mahomes along with the recent trade request from 49ers breakout running back Raheem Mostert.  We wrap up discussing our most recent health and fitness goals and newly adopted healthy living strategies.

E04 - In this episode we dive deep into the drama that is shaking the gaming community to its core. We touch on the mass amount of female streamers telling their stories about male streamers and sexual abuse. We also talk on Mixer's closer and the mysterious ban of DrDisrespect on Twitch. We wrap up the episode talking about Messi and his 700th goal as well as Cam Newton's 1 year deal and some other big name free agents in the NFL.

E03 - In this episode we start off with what is becoming our usual check in on how our week was. We then discuss Pride Month, Danny's brother and his experience with him being gay as well as a couple stories of our interactions with the homosexual community. After that we transition into talking on Bubba Wallace and the noose debacle in NASCAR and Anthony going on a rant about Columbus and US History. We return to sports and talk on rule changes coming to the shortened MLB season and how changes will effect the sport and the fan base. Lastly, we wrap the episode by talking about skateboard finally joining the Olympics! 

E02 - In this episode we start off by checking in on how our week was and reflecting on Episode 01. We then discuss our kids and how they are different from one another, how they interact with each other, and our plans for Father's Day 2020. After that we talk about some funny pet peeves we have as well as how Danny often thinks about how a stand up comedian would explain some of his real life situations. From here we move onto sports and how the NBA and MLB are planning on starting back up and the issues that are coming with it. Lastly, we close out  by talking about a couple shows and movies we have been watching while sports are not an option.

E01 - In this episode we start off by talking on our earliest memory of each other. Then we dive deep into current world events such as how we are surviving during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as our opinions on #BlackLivesMatter. We then debate what the future may hold for Colin Kaepernick now that the NFL has admitted they were wrong on how they handled protests within the league. Lastly, we have our first segment of 'Top 5 on Tap' where we share our personal top 5 favorite Hip-Hop Groups of all time.
